No way Johansen gets moved out wide to accommodate Commons. Not a chance! Johansen been one of our best performers and is vital to our style of play.

 

So you'd shoehorn Commons into the middle, and move Johansen (arguably our POTY so far at CAM) to the left while dropping Stokes (contributed to 18 goals this season)?

 

Johansen could still do what he does best from the left,I think Ronny wants all his players to play the way Johansen plays ie work rate, closing down quickly,working hard.I personally think Kris Commons should be in the team,maybe Ronny needs to adjust his system a little

 

I'd put Commons on the right, was raging when McGregor came on instead of him today.

Instead of Forrest in that form though?

Agreed about him coming on instead of McGregor though, I guess Ronny doesn't see him as a wide player though.

Strange considering he has no problem playing players who aren't exactly blessed with pace in those areas.

I'd definitely have Commons on the right before McGregor.

 

Commons slows us down yes he is a goal scorer but sadly his time here is done unless he accepts he's not a starter anymore

 

I'm a big fan of Commons (how could you not be after he scored 32 goals from midfield ffs), but he shouldn't be starting for us at the moment. Forrest, Johansen, Stokes and Guidetti have the 4 attacking positions nailed down for the time being. I'd agree though that Commons should be next in line for each of the 3 positions behind Guidetti.

I understand Ronny's thinking behind bringing on McGregor though, he's still only 21 and he doesn't want to give up on him yet.

Today summed up Forrest though, didn't it? 10 minutes absolute *, 35 absolutely supreme, subbed off at half time as he couldn't continue.
