Just finished Guardians of the Galaxy.

Pretty good game, and much better than I expected. Though it did drag on a bit and the combat was very repetitive - just more waves of enemies the longer the game went on.

The writing was great though and all of the characters were enjoyable.

Borderlands 3 came out free on EPIC so me & me mate have been playing that most nights online.

Its a tad easy but like most games if you're playing with mates thats half the craic.

    Technically and graphically it's incredible,
Best looking game I've ever played especially considering its open world, the animation particularly with regards to the machines is fantastic and main story wise it's pretty good, kept me playing despite my frustrations.
On the flip side I found the world very hard to get drawn into, the characters are incredibley bland and/or cringey, the map is absolutely plastered with icons so much that it was actually overwhelming (didnt help i just beat elden ring before this which has a very clean map) and this was very early on so I decided to turn off alot of the icons on the map which helped abit.
I done a few side missions, again some were decent but they all ultimately boiled down to go here, kill a machine, fetch this etc.
The climbing was clunky and the puzzles in the game I found extremely frustrating so I ditched them early on.
The combat was good but the weapon system was a * mess, not necessarily too many weapon types but too many variations of the same * weapons all with different rarities and ammo types, most people I'd wager will find ones they like and stick with them rather than changing weapons constantly and feeling the need to grind for parts to upgrade them.
Also I detest the way the characters dress in this game/world, it's hard to take anyone serious when they all look like * goons.

Feel abit let down because I really enjoyed the first game but maybe the novelty of the world and fighting the machines wore off and the overwhelming amount of clutter/ cringey dialogue, grinding for parts etc really dampened my enjoyment of the game.
I really hope they streamline and generally clean up the sequel.

Aye I was disappointed with it. Thought it started great but ended up being so repetitive. Agree with you about the characters being boring - Aloy being one of the worst in that sense.

The story was really cool in the first game, and finding out about the collapse of society and the old world was amazing. But think the story has went mental now. Really not a fan of the direction it's going. Feels so overcomplicated.

Aye the story in the first was game worked because it was new/interesting and somewhat mysterious as to what happened in the past and how the world was beginning to rebuild itself and tbf I quite liked the story in this one because I never seen it coming so I was intrigued as to where they were going with it. I will say I'm not sure I like where they are going with the sequel, it feels like it's going to be similar to the first game fighting corrupted machines but just swapping hades with this new villain. Hopefully it's set in a different part of the world since they pretty much done America now.

About time they got round to remastering bloodborne for the ps5, would be unreal with even better visuals and 60fps.

Finally upgraded my 360. Xbox One bought.

Being a creature of habit I bought Mass Effect Andromeda (great), Watchdogs Legion (great), Mafia 3 (seems decent but not put the hours in yet) and Assassin's Creed Origins (not started yet)

Mass Effect looks incredible, well the world's do anyway. The less said about the characters the better lol.

Got a steam deck end of last year, started downloading many games to it and starting to set goals to work through the ever increasing back catalogue.

Gtav I've completed before, but is first up.

Horizon, nier autómata and the Yakuza series are next on the list.

    Kayak VR Mirage

Probably the most chilled out game I’ve ever played. I just wish the maps were bigger, because this is one of the games you just get totally immersed in.
