The ultimate irony is , that at a time when the Tories looked like a divided party . When they seemed like a political party at war with itself . Labour fall into complete disarray . And now there could be a split down the middle , or at least a break away . Just like the eighties , when the SDP were formed by a shower of opportunist career politicians .
Well that's how I see it anyway .

It just keeps coming, Corbyn is going to achieve what Thatcher never managed the total annihilation of the party. What a leader :smiley-laughing002:

Jeremy Corbyn's allies organise 'show trials' to oust moderate MPs as Angela Eagle faces homophobic slur

Jeremy Corbyn’s allies are organising a union-backed “show trial” in a moderate MP's constituency in a bid to launch a de-selection campaign, the Telegraph understands.

Friends of Angela Eagle, who ran for the post of Labour leader, claim Mr Corbyn’s union supporters are organising a meeting in her constituency designed to allow people to call for her to be thrown out of the party.

It came as The Guardian reported that 17 Wallasey party members have made an official complaint alleging that Ms Eagle was the subject of homophobic slurs, including being branded "Angie the *", and that others were intimidated at an annual general meeting on June 24.

Depending on which faction wins out, we could very well see a return to grass roots Labour ideals and beliefs, which is sadly lacking south of the Scottish border.

Hopefully when the Labour Party splits Corbyn's crew can actually offer a real left-wing alternative (mainly for those down South - they're * in Scotland regardless). His job will be a * of a lot easier without constant sabotage from the Blairite scum.

Another shadow bench MP having a go at jezza and highlighting his inability to even say what he wants done with his own cabinet and some believe he is capable of running a country :56:

Although I have little sympathy for her, given she was one of the original MP's who nominated Corbyn for not much more than a laugh, its not so funny now though.

Yeah, there's definitely a political shift coming as far as the Labour party is concerned. Regardless of who wins the leadership election the party won't simply accept it and move on, there'll be too many warring factions.

Let them split, with Corbyn and those who lean more to the left on one side, and the Blairite types on the other, and we'll see how the labour voters go at the next election.

Only one problem with your opinion is that neither of the factions you talk of are the Labour Party i want to see back in power. On the one hand you got the loony left of corbyn and then the more dangerous option of the blarites and there is no middle ground with these bunch of career politicians.:54:
Edit are you reading my mind by any chance.above post:smiley-laughing002:

If you consider Corbyn to be "the loony left" then I wouldn't like to hear your opinion of the likes of the Scottish socialist Party or TUSC! :smiley-laughing002:

Nah, the split is coming, it's obvious.

Funny how believing in fair pay, workers rights, rent controls, free education, anti austerity measures, clamping down on tax avoidance, the welfare state, and scrapping Trident, can see you branded as a "loony".

I think it says more about the country as a whole than it does about Jeremy Corbyn to be honest.

Long term media bias will do that. Plus the Tories play a great game in making people think the way they do imo.

Owen Smith pushing the idea of a second referendum on leaving the EU if he wins the Labour leadership. Can think of a couple of chaps on here who will have something to say about that. :smiley-laughing002:
