Peach from Benzema but Graham Hunter needs to calm the * down, he’s suggesting that’s the goal of the season locked down no questions asked.

Half time he was the only one to use the hand sanitizer as well.
Players are all over the place with the whole thing.

Game was a bit pish, not expecting anything major I'm the first few games of each season starting up mind you.
But still, we now need Madrid to slip up. Fingers crossed that's this weekend.

    * game that, Barca majorly lacking a spark.

I get the feeling they are going to struggle next season, the fact they are skint and need some real quality in key areas.

Dodgy one for Real Madrid there, definitely came off Benzemas upper arm which usually was disallowed but not here.

See that although Barca have better goal difference than Real Madrid, Real Madrid are top because they use head to head results instead of GD in event of tiebreakers.
Pity we didnt use that in 2002-03 season as we would have won the league when huns won 6-1 against Dunfermline and we beat Kilmarnock 4-0 due to us beating them twice plus a draw.

Pros and cons to each way, but no point us changing/thinking what if.

Head to head would stop the chance of teams lying down etc, but then you are judged on two games in a full season, could have been injury ravished or any excuse.

Should be a good game tonight with Bilbao and Barca
Few games back in to it, players getting up to speed and Barca with a full strength lineup it seems.

No more slip ups allowed, at all.

Took their time, finally 1 up for Barca.

Barca need to stop trying to always feed Messi.
It's hindering them so much at times and I think griezman suffers a lot for it.

I mean, it's Messi, he is the goat, but not everything needs to go through him.

    Another poor game.

Ansu Fati provided a much needed spark when he eventually came on but Barca are so far off it.

Riqui Puig. There can be no doubt he is ready for the 1st team. Astounding he has been marginalized until now when only Busquets can provide the sort of incisive passing the 20 year old can. Trust in the cantera

Both changed the game for Barcelona last night. Along with rakitic.

Iove griezmann, but he isn't suited for the style of Barcelona when they insist on everything to go through Messi.
His runs and style of play doesn't suit to the need to pass in to the middle for Messi to do the supposed work.
He ends up in no man's land as the pass seldom comes back to him to break the line.

I hate that I say this as I love Messi more
But aye, when fati and puig came on, they are more able to feed Messi better than griezmann who wants to be the striker being fed as well.
(Same idea to Messi to be fed in, but different style of player).

Just gotta wait and see what Madrid do next. Shame we need to wait for them to drop points now.

I'd have thought Griezman would have clicked by now but he's not really adapted to the way Barca play, and Barca aren't going to change the way they play while Messi is still there. He's a great player Griezmann but despite the shift he puts in, they're pretty much a man down up front when he's playing at the moment.

I'm more a fan of the player than the person wrt Griezmann but there's no question he was never the right target/fit for current Barca. He hasn't been a winger since La Real which is similar to what happened to Coutinho, underscoring just how incompetent the board & their sporting 'strategy' is

The Frenchman is a great worker at both ends of the pitch but effectively occupies a similar area of the pitch as Messi. Moreover, he is not a dribbler which further complicates the role he is forced into. Even when he has been played as a #9 in place of Suarez he has been largely ignored/misunderstood in terms of runs & link ups - part of that is undoubtedly the lack of chemistry on pitch in his first season at Barca

If Lautaro pursuit is successful, which I support, then Antoine's place/role is even further in doubt and should be moved like Coutinho
