Whether it’s now forced by injury or in a months time he needed a rest, so we have GG and Ajeti I’m sure Ange will have a plan that accommodates them into the system, maybe we will have a more potent aerial threat and both will be good for defending set pieces which is our Achilles heel.

Just knew he was going to get injured soon. Would’ve been magic to see him fit for the full season and see what kind of numbers he could rack up but with the rough treatment he receives he’ll be doing well if this is his only injury this season.

This just serves to show how fragile and threadbare our squad is.

Hopefully it’s nothing serious and just media sensationalism, but Kyogo being injured would mean we now have one untested left winger (Jota) and one untested striker (Giakoumakis), both of whom are unlikely to be match fit, plus Ajeti, with no proper backups.

Brilliant forward planning and squad management.

How many strikers do you want for 1 position with a nailed on starter? Forward planning? Isnt that exactly what the Greek guy is?

We should have two quality options available in each position. The vast majority of our fans have written off Ajeti and don’t feel confident in him playing, never mind starting, games.

On that basis, we have Kyogo, Giakoumakis and Jota to cover two positions, which isn’t sufficient enough depth especially when neither Giakoumakis or Jota are match fit and can’t be expected to play 90 minutes twice a week until Kyogo returns (if he does miss substantial time).

That’s before you take Rogic’s travel difficulties and injury record into consideration and Turnbull’s lack of natural fitness. Neither of those guys can consistently play 90 minutes twice a week, even at their best. Definitely not at the tempo Ange wants us to play.

We went into deadline day with four strikers and lost two, as well as losing a centre midfielder who gave depth at left wing (Christie). We only replaced those three players with one centre forward. If you think that’s good management and forward planning, you’re sadly mistaken.

I'm not really sure you can call that forward planning, we got 1 striker in on the same day that 2 strikers left the club.

3 strikers nearing £15m for one position is perfectly fine. Let's not try pretend kyogo is anything like a left winger. Kyogo is injured so we have 2 to cover. Thats fine. This isn't football manager and were not real Madrid. I want qaulity over quantity and you seem to want the old lennon days of 300 * players to 1 good.

    Could be worse
Think how it would be if we didn’t have last years top goalscorer in the eredivisie (a much better league than ours who have at least 1 team regularly featuring in the latter stages of cl) to come in and replace him

We have one striker we already know isn't good enough and one we have never seen play. So my answer is I want enough to get us through the season, and I really don't know if we have that.
