    The thing is, his injury history prior to coming here was fine. A month back in summer 2019 he had a hamstring injury but it's not as if it has been continual, stop start during his career.

    Again for me, this raises questions over our sports science department, doctors etc whomever is in charge. That is 3 injury spells in 6 months since coming to us?

    Yeah absolutely. I’m thinking we should get cover in and use him as sparingly as we dare so as not to cause permanent damage. We also need to sort out our sports science which was sorely neglected over the last year. Hopefully that’s happening in the background.

    Hes not injury prone the problem is he's played too much football this year and we keep rushing him back from injury. It's not like the latest hamstring is a new injury is the same one

    I agree.

    But I still feel like we suffer far too many injuries..it can't be a coincidence and our luck isn't that bad.

    Guys already played most of a season then goes in to a very heavy schedule where we play him more than we’d have liked because we need to. It’s not all that surprising.

    Still think we suffer too many injuries. It's not just him in isolation I'm talking about either.

    Seems season after season we suffer, maybe its horrendous luck but I'm not convinced.

    Reckon is also to do with the fact how unfit the team was last season and Ange coming in after pre-season had started. Hopefully this is the niggly season and once players are at the required levels their bodies will be used to the demand. Also the fact we’ve not been able to rotate the team much.

    A lot of factors into the muscle injuries this season. Plus with Kyogo he was already halfway through a season coming here.

    Kyogo Furuhashi will miss tonight's tie through injury.

    And whilst Celtic boss Ange Postecoglou refused to talk about the striker's Old Firm chances - he revealed he will miss at least the next 'couple of weeks.'

    He told BBC Sportsound: "It's fair to say he hasn't recovered from the injury.

    "We're still getting advice but he'll miss the next couple of weeks at least, maybe longer.

    "In terms of definite time frames we just need to wait for more info.

    "Hopefully during the week we'll learn more."

    He was going to miss the next few weeks anyway wasn't he? As it was almost 100% that he was getting called up.

    Let him have his rest and give Giakoumakis some proper gametime.
