Aye, if we had an abundance of centre backs who were doing well, then he could maybe fill in for Broony as a DM if we really needed him to, but he's been a CB for as long as he's been with us.

 

Just curious to see how he does by the law of averages the amount of times Lennon plays players out of positions it's surprising Ajer hasn't been one. He is what we need in the middle strong and athletic I would like to see him in there instead of Brown

 

Played like a leader tonight..

Was fantastic whilst other's crumbled around him..

I really don’t like him but he was excellent tonight. Putting himself in the shop window.

 

Our best centre half. You can just tell that he'll come on leaps and bounds when he's playing alongside better players and has better coaches etc. So much potential.

He’s been comfortably our best defender all season and was absolutely excellent tonight. He’s putting Duffy to shame.

 

Looked like Van Dijk the night, weird that.

Also never seen Ntcham do so many step overs

 

This has been getting looked over I think..

Different if it was just tonight with the Milan interest but it hasn't. It's been almost every game..

The cynical might well say he's been playing to get a move before the window shut and that may be true but it doesn't hide the fact he's been our best defender and by far..

Has his faults but he's upped it the start of the season and been covering loads for other's..

 

He’s always played like that in my eyes, maybe just not as consistent through a 90 mins.

His ability to take the ball out of defence is unreal.

 

Really good tonight. Actually done well on Saturday aswell which has been overlooked for obvious reasons.

When the 2nd went on you could tell he was thinking * are the rest of boys back here playing at.

 

Decision making in not going to ground early was evident tonight, the main flaw in his game.

Happy to see those who may want to showcase their skills.

 

It's as close to a Van Dijk as you could get for us..

His ability to get us right up the park from our own box and create chances, is massive..

It was an area that was obvious we'd never be able to fill if we sold him. His ball carrying is huge.....even though it doesn't always come off everytime..

 

No question IMHO he was our man of the match tonight. Whether he wants away or not I have no idea but he certainly is performing and giving us his all so no complaints from me at all.
