For all his wee frustrations, I'd be delighted if he stayed. He's a winner and the ability to come forward with ball, giving packed defences decisions to make, is absolutely essential domestically.

    Aye, I agree.

If we had been offered silly money earlier in the window then it would've been tempting but with less than 2 weeks left I would only be selling if he pushed for the move himself and downed tools.

For all the improvements he still has to make in his game, he's part of a title-winning team and will help us maintain stability through the next huge 6 weeks.

Agree with that. As I said elsewhere if we have to sell a player to be ok financially given no match day revenue it seems at all this season then selling Ntcham and maybe Rogic makes more sense as we have depth there in central midfield.

Tbh he's been the most consistent defender so far this season, so take of that what you will.

I genuinely think he could be the midfielder we need get him in the middle for Brown. Shame it will never happen though

He’s been poor defensively for me. Good on the ball but seems like he ducks from headers and positionally gets caught out

What the * did he do poor defensively tonight? I can’t remember anything that would deserve that being aimed at him?

Came in to this thread to say this too.

100% should get a chance in the Brown role. He's go the legs to get around the park and his tackling and positioning must be decent if he's been playing CB.

Can also contribute offensively and exploit opportunities. You can just see him pinning the midfield with McGregor, Ntcham etc. working off of him.

Criminal we won't see things like this so Brown can play every game because of the poetry of the 10..

Made a poor pass and they were 3 on 1 first half but * it..

Seen Peter Martin going at him and a few other's which is laughable. He makes errors but his attitude has been much better this season for me..

He's been playing much more like his old self in the main..

That error was poor, no doubt about it against a better side they would punish you and that's 1-0.

Aside from that I don't think he did too much wrong. If he is one of the ones wanting away then at least he's not letting it affect his performances.

Aye a better side definitely get in on goal at the very least from that..

He's been at it most week's for me..

Makes mistakes. See last night and for the pen the weekend but he's adding a lot to us going forward...see Motherwell for Ajeti or Christie's goal Saturday..

Almost playing like a left winger at time's but has the pace to recover and snuff out attacks at the back..

Bizzare from Peter Martin digging him out. He probably would like a move but he hasn't downed tool's..

Surely if he was dying to get away then going out last night would've been beneficial for him......

Totally agree. The big positive out of last night game other then the win was that our back 3 all played well and we kept a clean sheet which considering how dodgy we have been defensively in recent games was a real positive.

For me, he is being played on the wrong the side of the 3. He is right footed and rarely uses/favours his left even when its appropriate. However, he is far more comfortable than Julien and Duffy at defending when dragged wide. And probably why he is in that position.

As for mistakes. Who didn't make a mistake at some point last night? Barkas, probably.

Yeah. Said before, he’s the perfect RCB in a back 3. He’s put in some great performances as a right back.

Madness that he’s on the left.

Noticed this against the Hungarian mob, * weird as * that he is being played left side and even weirder is that some folk have fallen for this when they make formation suggestions on here and have some how switched to placing him on the left side as well.

He's a rcb, he's played RB a few times when we have been short, his best runs forward tend to see him practically in a right winger position, yet for some reason Lennon has him on the wrong side of the back 3 as well.
Was weird when I saw it against the Hungarians and annoyed me then as well as no striker.

Virgil pkayed there for us and Ajer is our closest thing we've had since..

Ajer carries the ball out like Virgil did on his right but from the left side..

Probably a bit of moulding him to be like that and it does work well at time's. I do think he's better on ghe right though and when he's played right back, that only further enhances my belief..
