    Ajer falls into that category

Soft booking but silly to react, does that way too often, will bite him eventually.

Him and Julien swept up everything, especially crosses. Don't think the fullbacks and midfield helped.

He was really shaky first 20..

When he was out wide he was dallying on the ball and running it out for corner and getting in really needless situations..

He's a good young CB but he's not fully there yet, which is understandable considering his age, yet he's the one that's been linked away recently. It would be madness for him to leave in January or even next summer.

I just hate it when he gets dragged out to the left. He always looks more ropey out there..

    Random query bud.

He's been off and on form this season, after the previous two years of continued rise, it's natural at still a young ages that he is going to have good and bad games. But on the whole we all know what he can bring to the team.
I agree with most though, some time off may help remove the burden a little and give him some mental time to refresh. A new CB is a must, we needed 2 in the summer before we sold anyone, so for me we are still very short.
Ajer, Julien, Simunovic and Bitton isn't enough when the later two are injured often.

It's weird, you'd think having better players around him (Frimpong and Jullien) would improve him, but it feels like he's slightly regressed. Still young mind you but perhaps lack of competition is hurting him.

I'd like him to simplify his game more..

Don't get dragged out as that's what the opposition want and that's where he's at his most vulnerable. Can still go forward with the ball more but looked like he was told to stay put tonight with big Jullien which I don't mind as we had enough going forward being direct..

IMO Lenny should let him and Jullien play together as much as possible. Need our CB pairing to gel.

Think a lot of the team are in a wee
December slump form wise. Obviously Ajers dip has been going on a wee bit longer but I think we’ll see them all refocused after the winter break.

People forget he’s still a young boy learning his trade at centre half, he will make mistakes along the way. He’s still a cracking player.

Kinda bugs me a wee bit if I'm honest. I'm all for arguing a point with an official or an opponent, but not for the eternity that he spends doing it.

It's like he goes OTT with the sarcastic laughing at linesman, finger waving and moaning. I prefer the way Broony does it, a robust quick "* sake" and gets on with it. Ajer is a bit of a drama queen for me, reminds me of young players who imitate what they see players doing on TV. Like it's all exaggerated to make sure the fans notice and get behind him yaaaaasss

As a footballer I love him though and enjoy seeing him continue to improve, very glad to see him stay on his feet last night, had so many visions of him sliding in like a mad man and he didn't.

Think people are reading far too much into it and it’s sort of becoming fashionable to criticise Ajer.

After the first Rennes game he had a few games where he looked very ropey. But since then he’s been fine. Has the odd wee brain fart or moment where he’ll sell himself, but he’s still young and learning.

Don’t think his head has been turned in the slightest.
