Take it he'll get to wear one of those upside down Hannibal lector masks over his face while he plays for a while after this injury? Coupled with a beard and he'll be a proper Viking.

 

I have siad this before about this type of scenario. Given the amount of games we play in a season we need minimum 4 senior center backs to count on and while Simunovic is clearly behind the other 3 right now he is still a decent player who can do a job for us as a backup.

I think the difficulty for Simunovic will be, he needs a run of games to get back to form and in recent memory, he's looked a liability. Having said that, I'd still rather him than Jack Hendry.

 

Was he no rumoured 2 month's out?

Good to see him back out already. Don't think he's a starter at present though but definitely needed squad wise..

I think with that type of injury you can train quite normally, but it’s the chance of a contact injury that stops a return to actual action.
