Brendan acquiring leaders. Even said today it was really important and that we were short on natural leaders.

The man doesn't miss a thing.

Always in the right place for crosses and hoofed the ball the way he was facing into row x when he had to, brilliant signing :50:

He was absoloutely brilliant today, leader at the back, hearts were throwing everthing at us and he was like a wall.

    Lustig Toure Sviatchenko Tierney

    Solid back line.

I love a defender like Kolo, he reminds me of Balde in a way.

Having skilful defenders like VVD and Denayer can also be great, but there's something beautiful about a big, no-nonsense defender who takes * from nobody and isn't afraid to put the ball high into the stands when needed, instead of trying to play out from the back.

He was immense today, brick wall.

I have to admit I thought the guy was past it a couple of years ago. Then halfway through last season he suddenly looked like he had some quality left in him.

Great bit of business to get him in. He'll do a great job this season :50:

Just oozed class all game. All he was missing was a cigar.

Knows when to step back and when to move forward. Always had time on the ball.

Could be just what we needed.

Always talking to those around him as well, that's invaluable.

Apparently struggling with a slight groin strain late on but wanted to continue.

It's good to have Kolo, Erik, Lustig and Brown all in the one team. All are worthy of the armband and bring great leadership to the team.

It feels like all the panic has gone out of the defence.....not saying there were never under pressure or super calm....but -efe and + kolo.....what a difference.

Solid as a rock today. You can already tell that his experience is going to be invaluable to us.

It's been mentioned already, but watching him talk to/direct the players around him was great. We've been missing that sort of leadership in the defense for a while now and it looks like Toure's the answer to that problem.

I'm really looking forward to seeing him and Sviatchenko playing alongside one another; that has the potential to be a great defensive partnership.

I always find it strange that it is so hard to come by a good communicator at the back. We're all heralding Toure & the fact he actually spoke to those around him in attempt to be organised for set plays. You would think it would be part & parcel of a defenders education & an integral part of making it so far in the game.

I thought he was pretty dodgy today, Obviously still needing fitness but I never felt comfortable in our defence today, at all.

Big man was different class. Got his head on everything that came into the box, positioning and tackling spot on and and looked like he really gave a *. Think he'll be class alongside Erik.
