You do realise football is about shape and not just a set formation? This is exactly the same. Ajer will step into midfield creating a diamond...

Seriously? The whole point of 3 at the back is to allow Frimpong and Hayes (or Johnston if fit) to stay high and wide and not worry as much about the defensive side compared to 2 centre backs.

Ajer and Jozo would effectively step into the full back area not midfield, this would allow McGregor and Brown to push further up.

Last time we actually won at a canter at rugby park was about 17/18 season, Put out a few youngsters- mcgregor scored the 2nd goal, Calvin Miller was MOTM, had high hopes for that bhoy at the time, think big Ajer was playing for Kilmarnock, really are due a right good performance , last time we really played excellent was at pittodrie , lot of games in that 11 in a row league wins were 2-1,2-0 that we did okay but weren’t firing on all cylinders

Been nervous about this match all through the winter break. Killie were missing Findlay who is a huge player for them and we have that atrocious pitch to deal with!

To continue with the diamond would be a massive mistake as well. There are plenty of ways around that. If Sevco were to set up in that formation v us, I'd love it!

    Forster

    Frimpong Jullien Ajer Taylor

    N'tcham Brown

    McGregor Rogic Edward

    Griffiths

Further proving my point. We are gonna play Killie, who will get about 30-40% of possession and sit back. This is not a team we are gonna need to worry about transitions with. Playing 3 centre halves against these * would be criminal, even with a ballplaying centre half like Ajer who roams.

Deffo a bit nervous about this tonight. Think we'll nick it but we never play well or batter them on that pitch..

No sure how we'll set up..

Seriously big game. We win this and it's our toughest game out the way for a bit. If we don't then we're in trouble..

Mon Celtic let's motor on now..

That doesn’t prove your point at all, you said playing a 352 would end up being a diamond in the middle which it wouldn’t.

So what would you play? Since I want us to keep playing 2 up top, the narrow diamond wont work without Christie, 442 leaves us overrun in the middle but 352 strikes the balance. It’s not criminal at all, it exploits the width while also having a creative midfield and 2 up top.

reckon it will be same starting 11 as saturday night with ajer coming in for bitton

really dont like that diamond formation , need a bit of width , teams are compact against us as it is us going through middle just leaves less room

should hopefully have enough 2nil the celtic

From a year ago today until the end of the season in may 2019 we lost 1 league match! The same or better is required this time around.

    we can do this celtic!

Aye definitely don't feel any sort of swagger going into this.

Need to get the job done with a few players stepping up a bit. For whatever reason or another there is an air of despondency, despite our success already this season AND being top of the league.

Win this and come 5pm on Sunday I believe we will be 4 points clear and everyone can calm doon again :ynwacelti

Really wishing we just come out and smash them from the first whistle but can already see it being a turgid, boring 1-0/2-1 win.

Hopefully I’m wrong and the breaks recharged the batteries. We really haven’t been anywhere near our best since the Lazio games.
