Think he’d be a find 3rd choice emergency back up. He has a knack for finding space in the box and finishing, we make a fuckload of chances. He’d score here. And he’d be happy with being the 3rd choice.

Because at this stage I think it’s him or nobody, so I’d take it.

He's a good finisher but we could do better.

Not a bad player. But not the type required to improve us.

We could do better but could come in and score straight away and not put as much pressure on OH. Not the worst option domestically a goal game since his return. Bet people were saying the saying about Griffiths etc not saying he’s the answer but could score goals straight away for us

Probably were. But we are past making these kind of signings, IMO. And for good reason for the most part unless its the standout player in the league outside of us and the Huns.

I also don't think Nisbet would be comfrotable with competing for 2nd/3rd choice.

For near enough £3m that Hibs would no doubt want from us we could put that towards a better player.

Why would we sign a player to be third choice, I'd rather just buy a young kid and give him a chance if we can't afford to sign someone who'll improve the first team.

so 2 young unproven strikers to back up Kyogo if he gets injured is a big risk as oppose to someone who is proven at SPL level and can hit the ground running with goals. For domestic football it would make sense

take your point mate but I’ve seen us * 2 to 3 million on worse strikers in my time he’s proven at SPL level and that could be important if Kyogo gets an injury.

I’m not saying he takes us to the next level but would score goals for us and give the chance for OH to settle without pressure

Then let's spend a little bit more and get a player who'll really push and challenge Kyogo, not someone who'll best case scenario make a few appearances off the bench and play in an injury crisis. I'd rather Abada or Maeda up top in that case

I’d rather have a goal scorer who is a striker than a make shift striker up there. And how much would we need to spend on that striker with an output at Kyogos level over 20 a season isn’t cheap and wouldn’t come to Scotland to play

Celtic supporters and turning up their noses to Scottish talent is a story as old as time. Heard the same before signing Brown, McNamara, Griffiths, Armstrong and Christie.

Getting Nisbet for £3m would be a good, low risk deal for us. Fill up that HG quota. Get it done, Lawwell.

£3m for him would be a disaster of a transfer!
He's not getting in ahead of kyogo, who's on fire. Oh has just signed and will be the project to sell on for double figures, thus likely to be getting the game time ahead of any third choice.

Considering what Ange has spent the crux of £3m on before as well, we could get a helluva lot better than him.

Is there any credible source claiming we pursue Nisbet? Or is it all speculation cause the Millwall deal collapsed?

I mean Nesbit will be 26 in March.. so it's not exactly comparable to signing Brown at 21 or Christie at 20.

It's comparable to signing Griffiths at 23-24. He was playing for Hibs at the time (on loan from Wolves).

If it weren't for Nisbet's ACL injury, we might have signed him sooner. Ange was reportedly intersted in him prior to the injury.

I don't think we're interested for some reason but we're the kinda option that would've made him swerve Millwall..

We signed Griffiths directly from Wolves.. he had been starting for them after his POTY season at Hibs.
