It would of been a risk at the time taking him straight from Dunfermline, I’d of rather he step up to a Hibs and prove himself before us.

Problem is now values shoot up. In hindsight it would of been a great move for us but things don’t work like that.

That's where you balance the risk with the reward.

He'd banged in 34 goals in 46 games for Raith Rovers, stepped up a division and banged in 23 goals in 32 for Dunfermline. The benefit of hindsight is brilliant but surely these types of speculative punts at £250k and likely £4k-ish a week in wages are better than frittering away money on the likes of Bayo & Klimala.

A young guy who supports the club, knows the Scottish game, has a track record of scoring goals - the perfect 3rd striker in the squad IMO.

Personally, I don’t think we’re in a position to wait for these players any longer.

The SPFL is a decent hunting ground for premiership or championship clubs looking for a bargain. If someone impresses at Hibs, there’s a good chance we’ll be competing against a number of English clubs for their signature, and they won’t come cheap.

I would rather just take a bit of a punt on them from a few hundred thousand than wait a few extra years and at at best pay 10x as much, or at worst lose out on them altogether.

I like you’re thinking,Messi on a weeks contract to guarantee us getting past Jablonec next week.

Could become another Anthony Stokes or Nadir Cifci

Agreed, I mean most would regard Lewis Morgan as a failure of a signing when in reality we still made a £800k profit from selling him.

It won't always work out that way but at £250k of a fee and £4-5k a week in wages a guy who had banged in more than 60 goals in 2 seasons and still had untapped potential, it was a no-brainer.

We absolutely need a striker in ASAP. There’s a lot of football to be played between now and the end of the month but I do not want to be going to Ibrox with Ajeti and Griffiths as our natural centre forward options.

Clearly defence is our priority but a proper centre forward can’t be far behind either.

I chuckled at the first name on my first read through and then again after realising the second name.

Stokes was a fantastic player for Celtic for a long time. Ciftci was a complete dud. No relevance.

See at the end of the day we need to go and get nisbet. We will lose eddy, griff is done( half of the fans booing him is really gonna help his confidence!) ajeti is pure pish and needs sold so that leaves us with kyogo. One feckin striker!! We need a big John hartson type of player and one that kyogo can play with. The huns have 5 they can choose from and slippy rotates them.

Aye, one bad game is the same.

Also, he played his part in Hibs' equaliser.

Also also, he wouldn't be a direct replacement for Edouard.

Also also also, has done more than Edouard this season.

    In total agreement here.

Nisbet is a good fit at the moment. Will do his thing, and I think there is more development in him, in the right environment.

Second half of last season he threw the toys out the pram because he didn’t get move in January after only being at hibs for half a season performance fell right back just like edouard
Looks to be dropping again do we really want more bad attitudes at the club for the amount of money they are asking for
