Sorry for the late reply, Ive been working all day.

Yes, you do do comparisons with cars, but comparing us haggling over a deal with McGinn/Nisbet is like walking in to a Ford dealership and telling them you’re not paying the asking price for a car because you didn’t pay that price for a car you were enquiring about 4 years earlier. It’s ludicrous tbh.

Did we haggle with Turnbull? Nope. Twice we went out and agreed to Motherwell’s asking price.

Now, I’m not comparing Turnbull with Nisbet or McGinn etc, but we are possibly wanting to sign the boy. We should show some appreciation by actually willing to try and get somewhere close to the asking price if we really actually want him.

Speaking of McGinn, the reason we lost out on him, not once but TWICE was that we wouldn’t pay £300k when he was at St Mirren, instead asked him to run down his contract and sign for nothing. Then with Hibs, fair enough you dont just go in most times and pay asking price, but we literally * about and * trying to get him on the cheap until we eventually agreed to stump up the money pretty much when he was already in Birmingham talking to Villa…

Is £4m for Nisbet a sensible deal? Is it value for money in general? Will he be a big player for us as the price tag suggests?

I wasn't comparing our negotiations skills with our targets, I'm comparing their asking prices set by their club. He may be worth £4m to Hibs but is he worth £4m to us?

Regarding our approaches for Turnbull, he is a bargain at the fee we paid out. An absolute steal. Nisbet wouldn't be. He would be one of our more expensive signings in recent times.

Also, if you don't like the price of a car, you look elsewhere...

Enough of car chat. This ain't Top Gear.

I realise that….I was more picking up on the fact you’ve still not spelled his name correctly despite using it as part of your attempt at humour

Is £4m a sensible deal for Nisbet? Well how on earth am I meant to answer that?

A guy who has scored in our top flight, is now a Scotland international and one who - supposedly hs great character and resiliance.

Is he the right man to be spending £4m on? Well, you’d need to have Ange and the scouts explain that one.

What I would say is that, well, why not? Are we turning our noses up at him because he’s Scottish? Because he’s not played in the top flight for long enough?

Klimala we paid around £2.5 for, maybe something slightly less for Bayo. Both either * or not even hopefull of a sniff at first team. We made money on Klimala and Bayo will most likely be sold soon, so really we’re not putting out that much of an outlay on him.

3m off will get it done, bring him in he's a natural goalscorer unlike Klimala and Bayo we've spent good money on recently, he works hard for the team aswel

Think he'd be hugely effective for us. Maybe more so than a Griffiths or an Eddy. Don't nobody lose the plot here. I'm only going by Ange's style of play. Get the ball out wide fast and quick crosses. A lot of Nisbet's goals seem to be from that avenue. Don't know if Griffiths or Eddy are best suited to that style.
