Doyle is not rated by myself,for that reason he is not wanted..

 

Before we sign Kevin Doyle, we should sign Loovens and give him a try as a striker. He can score!

Long answer: Yes indeed.

 

So your not really any different from those that don't want Doyle because he is from Ireland.

I've seen Irish guys here say "the majority of Scots are bigots" and have it go pretty much unchallenged, with even usually well informed posters agreeing. As you said that's for a different thread.

I support Ireland on the international level (as I do Wales), and personally think we should be doing more to keep the connection between Celtic and Irishness. Not for any sentimental reasons, just because they've produced some * good players in recent years who I would've loved to see in the Hoops at some point. :smiley-laughing002:

I can only speak for myself here, but I do get fed up with getting linked with every player who ever set foot in Ireland. It's lazy journalism at it's finest and gets tedious quickly.

Doyle, to me just screams bad signing. I've listed the reasons on this thread before and none of them are anything to do with his nationality.

 

Some would say yes to that, some would rightfully say no.

Generally Scottish, Celtic supporters are not bigots.
And i am not accusing you or Wulliebad of having anti-irish sentiment, however the same can not be said for some posters.

I would never attack anybody for purely their views on Doyles football ability, i may disagree with it and argue the point.
It is when it gets to the point where they dont want him here because his nationality is Irish is what i will, rightfully, attack.

I don't understand fans that don't want certain players because of where they're from. I don't give a flying * where a player is from as long as he does the business for my team then I'm happy. We could sign a guy from * mars for all I care. We slag off Huns for that kind of pish.

 

Nobody is arsed about where Doyle comes from but I would hazard that plenty of posters are arsed about the fact that he is utter muck. Where was this perceived anti-irish racism when Robbie/Roy Keane signed? Utter nonsense.

 

Most people dont want him at celtic because he is a over rated, * player...absolutely nothing to do with where he came from.
