yeah i know its all madness,i do think he would do a job for us it was like martin o`neil he used to buy players that had lost their form and when they came here they where appreciated and he brought the best out of them and i think Lennon would do the same for him.

I think the general theme in this thread from me and what I've seen is not where Doyle hails from but that he is past his golden years and we could do much much better in terms of quality..

If we were linked with shane long the thread would go through the roof with excitement..

He's better than no one, obviously Finnbogason was everyones first choice, but at the moment we're a tad desperate and shar Doyle will run, he's quite good at running ya know.

 

A small element, that seem to resent anything Irish, you would still get it.

There are plenty that doubt his ability as well, no doubt but throughout this thread there's been plenty of 'Plastic Paddy' like insults from a few Hunnish Celtic Fans.

It's an attitude I've only found on the internet to be honest.

I do get sick of being linked with every Irish player going,some are linked every window yet never come(infact most do,that is down to lazy journalism though),but not wanting a player to come because of his nationality is pathetic really..

I have noticed a minority on here who hate anything Irish. Doyles nationality should not be an issue. I wonder how some of these same folks would react if I said we only wanted a player because he was Scottish.

 

Personally, me being Scottish and knowinf the standard of Scotland players, I'd be * dissapointed

 

Exceptions should be made for certain players from certain countries, although this is not the thread to discuss that.

Yes i do. Thankfully it seems to start and end on this forum, as i have never heard a Celtic fan have this attitude in the real world so to speak.
