Kelvin Wilson

wasn't the whole fault of the defence at the start of the season the inconsistency in CB pairings? so should we be bringing him straight back into things when we have a very important next few games? (e.g. filth on the 28th) any thoughts?

 

The good thing about him is his pace as our other centre backs are slow

 

We leaked 4 against the huns.a game that made him look bad.hopefully he can bounce back

 

Looked good at the start but had a nightmare against the huns and was poor against Ross County. When all our CBs are fit my first choice pairing would be Mulgrew and Rogne, but I'd still like to see more of Wilson, as he could be a great player.

 

Looked decent. Jury's still out though.

 

He might be involved on Thursday due to his pace.

 

Looked good. Alot of people got on at him for a bad clearance v the Huns which ended up in a Naismith goal. But hes human, we make mistakes.

 

Yeah, just a case of getting him fit and match sharp.

He was first choice until he agreed to sign for us. Then Davies the bitter * put him in the reserves.

 

I like him more than Loovens. Put him with his pace at left CB and Maj at right CB where Maj can be covered by Cha or Matthews' pace. That way we have 2 pacier players in the back 4 (cha, wilson) and 2 slower guys (maj, mulgrew). But because its alternated pacy-slow-pacy-slow everyone is covered.

 

The jury is well and truly out on him after he sold the jersey's at the shitpit.

 

Him and Loovens as our two main defenders could be good

just need a pair of defenders which can form a regular partner-ship

 

I would like a new centre back to partner Kelvin, I think he's a very good player.

 

Not seen enough of him, the one time he was tested at mordor he crumbled, so im going to need more games before i form an opinion.

 

I really have no idea what to make of him. He wasn't all that impressive before he got injured, anyway.

 

I personally think it was this on why were looked very shaky at the back. Couldn't get a consistent pairing and when we maybe thought we were getting consistent, yet more injuries happened.

We seem to have gotten better when there's been a bit more of a steady, regular defence plus the results coming would have increased confidence as well.

I'm unsure about Wilson to be honest. The whole defence was dodgy against the filth but Wilson wasn't too hot in the Ross County game either. Him or Maj and for me I wouldn't just put him straight back into the line up either as the defence seems to be pretty settled lately.

In saying that though, I think those two games were really the only bad ones Wilson had. I think other games he played in, he actually done pretty well.

Still wouldn't put him straight into the line-up though, but I can maybe see him getting more games if we continue to improve the way we have been.

 

Was on the bench yesterday.

My first choice at the back would be Rogne and Mulgrew though.

 

I like Kelvin Wilson, he was really blown away by the atmosphere against Rangers, I mean I am sure he expected it to be noisy but it was his first game against them and it was probably the game with the most pressure he has ever played in his life. I doubt he will make the same mistake again against them or in a more important game, he will know what to anticipate even more now. I have hope he will turn out to be very good, he is definitely our fastest CB.
