Defoe has torn his hamstring and is out for several weeks, heard rumors Keane will be recalled, not sure if its in the contract that they are allowed to recall him though?

    Very interesting if true.

I'd like to see him go TBH, if he's not going to be here next season there is no point in playing him - if Tony is trying to build consistency withing the team.

If there was somehow a chance to keep him though, it would be special - he's the best striker in Scotland by quite a distance.

Pretty sure it's not possible, not only due to the fee but because it's across country?

I know for a fact that Wenger has declined to send players to Scotland on loan because he knows he won't be able to get them back during the season. Didn't say exactly why it is the case, but that is the reason.

How did we manage to send Jérémie Aliadière back after only one game? Or have the rules changed since then?

That was because West Ham took over the remainder of the loan deal .

Because it was our decision to send him back. Arsenal didn't call him back.

This was on the RTÉ eartel on Monday the 15th page 221 which is the first sports page for football with a headline of Keane to be recalled back to spurs. When you go into the page there is an interview with Joe Jordon stating that Keane will not be going anywhere after his loan deal as he is still our club captain and a vital part of our team.

This was an interview taking just after his hat trick againts Kilmarnock. and I think the coach was just putting out a hand off to anyone who thinks he is up for sale come the summer.

Two different stories - Defoe is injured. Keane will be recalled by Spurs, but not until the end of the season.

Harry Redknapp quotes here. If I was Robbie Keane though I wouldn't be expecting to get first team football back at Spurs. No talk of him being an important player or anything. You get the impression Spurs want him back so they can flog him...

He can't be called back. Days after we got Kamara, Dempsey was injured at Fulham and Hodgson said he would have kept him if the transfer window shut a few days later. If it were possible. Hodgson would have recalled Kamara at that time.

Tottenham striker Keane joined his boyhood idols in a transfer deadline day move at the beginning of last month in a bid to rescue their ailing season.

The 29-year-old, who has scored eight goals in eight games, is due to return to White Hart Lane this summer.

Amid rumours Celtic will approach Spurs over extending his loan move into next season, Redknapp has moved to end any hope of that happening.

"I don't see us loaning Robbie out again,'' the Tottenham boss said in the Scottish Sun. "We paid a lot of money for him. So it's not something I see happening. It would obviously be up to the chairman but I couldn't see it being a possibility.

"I certainly would not want it to be happening. Robbie's only on loan until the end of this season as far as we're concerned. We want him back so in my mind there's no way of another loan deal.''

A player loaned outwith your own FA cant be recalled. Its all to do with the international clearencel. Hence why MON would not loan us Curtis Davies
