This exactly what will happen, his head will be turned and he will jump ship to the EPL at the first decent opportunity.

He could already be at an EPL club if he wanted.

He just signed his first professional deal a few months ago.

Did anyone else think Secondary school was full of ringers because in Primary every Saturday even if you got beat, the opposition were still withing a plausible range of height and width but in Secondary there is always a guy in each year who could get served in pubs and the local offy :56:

To keep it on topic, I think it's crazy how football scouts in Scotland always said 'he's not big enough' when our best players and most creative players round the world have mostly been small.

Like Maradona, Messi, Jinky, Romario etc etc, so I don't get it.

Hope I haven't posted this already but the Scottish national team created quick passing triangles when the coaches realised they'd never beat the large English players by going toe to toe so they had to get inventive.

Still confuses me when we lost that principle.

I hate it but it's very difficult to argue with when it's such a short career, folk will be thinking about their whole family's future nevermind their own.

I thought he did very well, was expecting more dribbling but actually played more with his head. Very good touch and close control.

Only 2 slight downsides, he's fkn absolute tiny, the ball bounced near the end of the game and he was * and it wasn't even that high, lol. And he doesn't seem to have a lot of pace.

He's clearly nowhere near ready but i'd throw him on for 20 minutes in the last game of the season just to see him against real players, see how he compares in size and speed and if he's anywhere close.

He looks sharp enough but could he really get away from an actual man on a park or would he be caught and brushed aside within 10 yards. Even though he's 16 now he looks more the average size of someone whos like 12.

I've seen him up against Killie and St Mirren much older boy's age and height wise and he's rinsed them..

He’s got it though, you can spot a football player a mile away.

Where Okoflex (a foot taller and a year older) was trying the billy big baws stuff, the wee mans vision and weight of pass was sublime. Beating people then laying people in.

Aye he’s a good bit off it but I don’t doubt for a second he’ll be class in as little as 2 or 3 years time.

If he ain’t ready and didn’t stand out tonight then personally I wouldn’t fast track him to the first team squad. I’m sure there are other deserving players and it’s good to keep the lad grounded for a bit.

Maybe the couple of Rangers players are rapid then, it just seemed a few times his touch got him past a player but he got caught for pace.

Tbh most of their players looked physically quicker and stronger than ours.

He was going by them every time and they were constantly hacking him and pulling him down.

There’s a reason their LB was subbed.
