    Only can loan players if the paperwork was submitted on time. It doesn’t mean they have to announce it straight away, but there could be conditions to be satisfied.

    The only other way this happens is if Mata and United come to a mutual agreement to cancel his contract and he becomes a free agent.

    Might be something in this and would certainly solve our midfield depth problem.

    Guys, you've no idea how excited I would be if Mata was to join us.

    Would be a * unreal signing, even now coming in to the last few years of his career at 33(still a couple good years in him).

    He'd replace the "old" Christie of being the number ten along with rogic (since now Turnbull seems to sit further deep) and would absolutely kill it up here.





    Would however annoy me if he signs and giakoumakis already took the number 7

    You would think so.. Unless he just wants to play some football at a semi top level at the end of his career and is willing to take a wage cut.. You would think he would just go to asia or middle east and get paid a fortune though.

    Hart is only a year older, taken a wage of 15k a week and signed from Spurs.

    Nothing to suggest that Mata wouldn't do similar.
    Hart easily could have went to USA or the Middle East for the proposed pay day as well.

    The world is a different place at the moment and I would think many have rethought what is valuable to them.

    Maybe a last payday when you are already well to do isn’t as important as playing in front of 60,000 and being a big fish winning trophies while close to family.

    He’s been on a fortune for a long long time and is now out of favour with the manager at United. Having been a long serving player I’m sure the club and himself would come to an agreement over the last 9 months of his contract, if he wished to leave. I don’t think money would be an issue for him.

    Unless his contract was terminated prior to the close of the transfer window (which seems unlikely given he apparently played a bounce game for Man Utd on Wednesday), he couldn’t be registered for a new team outwith the transfer window. He therefore couldn’t play for us until January.
