Glad I'm not the only one that thinks a 30% sell on fee is too high.

As for those that can't grasp the concept of sell on fees, there are two:

*Percentage of profit from next sale
    *Percentage of next sale

If it's percentage of next sale it needs renegotiated, as that is way higher than what we get when we punt to EPL teams that * money away for fun

Again, * the 30%. It’s not ideal but absolutely no way should that stop us making the move permanent.

Not sure where you are getting the perception people on this thread don't understand the concepts involved :43:

You are entitled to your opinion but same for those who think having Jota here next season and hopefully quite a few more is the key thing.

The Edouard sell on fee was reportedly quite high.

But imagine we didn't buy Edouard because of it? Look at what we'd have missed out on.

All for what a few million quid?

Absolutely buzzare if this holds up the Jota deal.

Some people might not grasp the concept of getting a player in who was class the previous season who is young and will have resale value.

Also said player doesn’t need to adapt or try and learn the set up, who knows his teammates and will be raring to go and we know what they are all about.

30% sell on or 30% of anything after 6.5 million Jota needs to come back.

Big money either way, He is class and to try and jeopardise the deal at this late stage would be madness bro

It is, they are also typically paying a much higher fee up front than we are to counter that. It's not a hard concept to grasp. For most.

Who gives a * what the percentage of the sell on fee or how it is structured is.

We are getting a genuine talent for a relative pittance compared to the money he will help to bring in by winning trophys etc. Then when he eventually moves on he will have hopefully help to put us as the dominant team again.

He will he invaluable in the next 2 or 3 seasons, hopefully we can keep him that long and all this talk about sell on fees will look even more ridiculous than it does now.

Little wonder Giakoumakis is desperate to see loan idol Jota stay permanently.

He said: “I am happy with every goal, no matter how I score. I told Jota when we were out there celebrating, I said, ‘I wish you’ll stay here because we really need you.’”

Fair play to all permanent staff who got in his ear about staying. Upside to Ange's policy of signing good eggs, must make it a difficult dressing room to leave

Let's agree to disagree, I think it is too much, you don't.

Not trying to argue with you mate, you're entitled to your opinion as am I. No need to get emotional.

Don’t care if we make profit on him or not tbh.

We could buy him for £6m then sell him for £10m 4 years down the line we’re still up £1m and have a lot of great memories.

We’ll make a lot more profit in other areas of the business with his contribution on the pitch than if we didn’t buy him.

Would we be in the Champions League without him being here this year? Probably not.

Already had an insane amount of profit off of him
