Many posters have stated correct observations. He's short, and for us, plays LB, which is the opposite side of what he trained his whole life.

For Croatia, he plays RB, of course. Our NT is full of tall players, so having him doesn't compromise us defensively in that aspect. For example, Perišić is a left winger, and is a massive presence in the air. Pašalić is similar- and he's an AM. This is on top of centre backs like Lovren and Ćaleta-Car, whom one may call "monsters".

Josip came into a side with short-ish defenders, and a general lack of height across the team. In fact, Ralston has to play not just because he's a good defender and a * warrior, but because he's our best aerial threat. Tough luck for Josip, but I fail to see how this will change. I don't see Ralson going to the DM position, for example.

Left, right or down the middle are all viable options and all count as 1 goal. If you're going down the middle then hitting the ball softer is better as it gives the keeper time to dive out the way. I used to hate it when Barry Robson would smash the ball down the middle, the keeper always had a chance of getting a lucky foot on it.

 

He's deffo our main penalty taker now..

100% would be furious if it doesnt come off, but I suppose for a penalty taker given the stats keepers study of where penalty takers like to put their kicks it makes sense to mix it up.

Don't know what to make of him so far, out of position but some honking decision making and passes at times. Does plenty of good things too - strange one.

 

I know. What a ridiculous thing to get upset about, especially when he scored from it.

 

Shocking how we could have someone so confident in himself to take a fancy penalty just get it blarged anywhere none of this placing it in the net bs ffs some people need to wise up good penalty move on.

Hope we don't have anyone with the audacity to have a curled top corner free kick in them. Technique is for pansies we want 100% power 25% accuracy

I hate when our players score goals. Punt.

 

It’s not Juranovic’s fault because he’s being played out of position, but we need a LB in January who can cross with their left foot. It’s brutal watching him go through and can’t cross it to Kyogo, side is out of balance.

 

He just isn't a left back..
