He was not at Celtic for long, but what a player. He had everything. Pace, power and could score all types of goals. Confortable with either foot. He would be worth a fortune in todays market. Got sent a highlight video and it made me realise we took him for granted a wee bit.

I'm convinced we would have won the league if it wasn't for Jim Farry meddling with Cadete's registration.

Interestingly Wiki only refers to the fact that Jorge C missed the Cup semi final, completely ignoring the fact that Celtic were denied the service of a top striker for vital league games in a season when it was decided (IIRC) on goal difference.

Wiki : " Farry never explained the reason for delaying the paperwork.. "

    We know why.

Tribute act fans often hit back at Jibes about Morelos’ record against us by saying “aye but Cadete didn’t score against us”. Despite Cadete only being here for a fraction of the time fatso has been with them. What a player though. Very highly thought of in Portugal too.

Aye... but that’s just Tim paranoia ...

...there's never been any SFA bias towards (or against) any one club... they’ve assured us of that.

Too young to remember but wasn't Cadete a bit of a * about his wages when he was with us, hence why he left?

That's what the three amigos said at the time, that the bunnet promised a pay rise if they did well and obviously the wee man wasn't into paying up, if true of course

Was at his debut against Aberdeen, the noise when he scored was phenomenal and the stadium was only half done. He was a quality player who I wish could’ve stayed longer.

If I remember right he big Pierre and Di Canio all pulled the we were promised revised contracts by wee Fergus line that they claimed they didn’t get. He was a fantastic player but effed of sharpish like the other two. Think he tried to get a job with us after his money ran out in later years. This is sacrilege given we had Larsson, Sutton and Hartson but I enjoyed watching the three amigos more in a way. Very exciting players.
