Jordan Ibe

Discussion in 'Transfer Rumours' started by Gioventu, Aug 15, 2019.

I'm not sure. Even for his big wages it's a punt.

Some of the comments makes it sound like he's past the point of being a promising talent to a bit of a waster.

  1. Sometimes, if we talk and they seem to have the right attiutde, that can work out vry well for us.

    Scott Sinclair like.

  2. I don't remember Sinclair's attitude being questioned. His form dipped at a few clubs, but I don't think that was so much his attitude. He dropped off with us too.

I don't remember Sinclair crashing a Bentley at 4am in the morning either. :giggle1: Even his solicitors' comments sounded as if he knew Ibe was a bit of a *.

Ibe's attitude is constantly under question. I'm still surprised that Bournemouth might be willing to let his contract run down and let him go for free. That's a big statement.

I would have felt more comfortable if we got him on loan in January for a bit of trail first. Handing him a long contract I'm not confident about.

  3. I didn’t mean they’re an exact example, just a player that’s had issues, if we soundly vet them out, it can be a way to get a player that we wouldn’t usually get.

  4. I'm no sure about this one now..

If we don't go for Mo then I'd like to try and get a wow factor type in who can unlock defences off that left..

In EPL - 119 games, 4 goals and 10 assists
In Championship - 31 games, 6 goals and 2 assists

Another young Enlgish player that got overhyped and believed his own press. I'd rather spend cash on Mo or find a better alternative.

If it was free it could be worth it. Sincy didn't score much (bar 1 season in the championship with Swansea) but killed defences over here

  7. I understand why there may be questions about Jordan Ibe's attitude, in his defence I read a good article recently about him. He talked about his struggles with mental health and remorse for his behaviour, he stated that he was receiving counseling and admitted that his first priority was getting healthy over football. Struggling with mental health may explain why he has not lived up to expectations at Bournemouth. I think he could be a brilliant signing for us if he is the right frame of my mind he will rip SPL defences to shreds with his strength, pace and trickery. On a free this is a no brainer for me.

  8. Bet he signs for huns and they will make out they beat us to his signature

  9. Hope not, I think he would be a great signing for us. He would run riot up here

  10. In my opinion he has more quality than Sinclair had when we signed him and look what Scott did.

  11. Hes a * though unlike Sinky. Causes trouble in the dressing room and has already been caught flouting lockdown rules

He is believed to be on about 40k a week. With his contract up I bet some championship club will pay him that. If he was willing to take the ay cut then maybe.

  13. Mental health aside, given what his stats tell us about his productivity, that wage cut would have to be at least 75% for it to be a worthwhile deal for us, otherwise we would be far better off looking elsewhere for a lot less risk.

can defo see a championship club like derby who he was once at or a hull giving him £20k + a week
