He's a player who knows the league, is good in the league, is good for a screamer and a consistent cretive outlet, that our manager clearly trusts to do a job - that our inVIncible manager clearly trusts.

First thing Rodgers has done after last season and * are complaining. Who'd be a Celtic manager man :56:

I get where you're coming from mate but at the same time it's an internet forum to voice your opinion about Celtic matters.

I don't think anyone's having a go at Rodgers but even after his outrageously good start, his decisions aren't infallible and we should still be able to objectively critique them.

    De Vries for example.

    He's infallible at the moment.

De Vries kicked Gordon onto a new level, even his 'failures' have had a good effect.

I think playing in our setup and given the same amount of game time Hayes would bring in higher numbers of goals and assists than Forrest does at the moment, just has better end product and technique imo.

Before someone starts I'm not trying to have a go at Forrest in saying that, he played some of his best football this season and I hope he can at least replicate that or improve, but he's just the most obvious person he'd be competing for a space with, assuming we don't get Roberts back or sign a bigger name winger which I hope we do obviously.

I support the lad, wish him very best and he does seem to be a nice and committed guy. But this is our board reverting to Deila days: pocketing the millions of profit, downsizing our team and replacing top world class players with SPL level guys. Until we downsize enough for sevco to reach us and then they panic, this seems to be what we will have to put up with.

I don't rule out he doing an amazing job, and hope he does. But even if he does, the reason why he was signed is that he is cheap, and easy to get, unlike Roberts.

I'd understand that type of post if we were sitting here in the last week of the window, but it's not even officially open in some markets and players are on holiday, bit early for talk of the board downsizing and back to the days of Deila.

    Welcome to Celtic Johnny. :D

If this is to enhance depth ...sound. If it's to replace Robert's or deluding itself that it can suffice In Europe....then I am not so keen. Has an air of the Ciftci signing.

You lot are aware that the season has only recently finished, right? Plenty of time to get players in.

It's far from a return to Deila era transfer policy.

Think as somebody else posted, think the apathy is cos some feel this signing is instead of Roberts. Time will tell.

To be fair Ronny signed some good players, he just couldn't get much out of them.

I am really pleased with this signing. When he settles in and scores a couple of screamers and sets up plenty of goals for Moussa and Griff - everyone will realise that Brendan knows what he is doing.
He probably won't start most games if everyone is fit but whenever he plays, he is always a threat.
    Welcome Johnny!!

Pish utter pish! I'm very critical of Celtic in the past said a few times we should be miles ahead when we had other managers ect and after last season none of us should be even questioning our manager regarding this signing.

I've been a moaning * in the past but * me you canny please everyone

Remember people where wondering the same thing when we signed Robson and Hartley!!!!!

He had an amazing season and is a grafter! 1.3m for one of the best SPFL players who gives us another option and knows our league in and out! No brainer.
