A bit late but I think this is appropriate.

 

Would like to have seen him being a success here but he hasn't hit the highs on the park and on his showings that he has had he hasn't looked up to being a squad player, hoping be finds his top form and helps keep the trophies coming .

 

Hes been terrible up there with guys like Blinker, Petta, Stuart Gray and Naylor for pure averageness. Done absolute nothing.

 

I think he should get a chance over Sinclair for a game or two over the next month. I feel like Brendan bought him as more of a wing back and backup to KT. Sinclair has been slow over the last few games, give Hayes a last chance to prove himself

 

He's had 15 chances now?

 

Whilst he was certainly no world beater during his time, I don't think Bobby quite deserves to be mentioned in that company. I'll always remember the day he helped slaughter the Huns 6-2. Did pretty well against Ajax too and remains a converted Tim to this day.

 

Hayes is really the only questionable decision St Brendan has made to date. I see no reason why he was signed and he certainly wasn't signed to deliberately weaken Aberdeen as I'm pretty sure Brendan couldn't give a * about their marginal threat. I said it when he signed, he's a quicker version of Commons... sadly without the touch of flair, vision and goal threat. I can't help but think this was a sentimental signing as maybe Brendan felt he didn't give him a fair crack at Reading and the fact he is a Celtic fan. Needless to say, I hope it works out as I will happily eat my words if he begins to produce.

 

I know I might seem harsh on him but I think some fans are in denial over Hayes, he's literally done nothing of note... He's been shocking for us imo. Everytime he gets the ball he tries run at people and gets nowhere if he keeps the ball he will just turn and play it back. He's not exciting, creative or even effective I don't think at all. I would rather play mikey Johnston or Calvin Miller anytime over him as the times I've seen them play I was actually impressed and they made good contributions. You can say aw he hasn't done much wrong, but that's cause he hasn't done much at all. Was a waste of money and wages, would've much rathered keep Christie but we learn from mistakes. Think we should get rid of him summer

 

Im not disagreeing. He is a good player. His move heres came too late. The pressure of the shirts too much for an older guy imo. 22 and he'd of had no fear, played and improved. At 29 (?) The physcological factor will keep his game down. Id punt him too.

 

Regi Blinker was black and had dreadlocks, that absolves him of any poor performances. Legend!

First time he's played where he didn't look like he wasn't confident enough to play for Celtic done well and unlucky not to score, hopefully he can kick on from that as we rotate the squad throughout December
