Still not convinced by this signing tbh,we cleared out a lot of deadwood then brought him in,I know we need squad players but to me he is just blocking the path of younger players?

Bingo. Give young Calvin Miller a crack of the whip, or Mikey Johnstone, ahead of this guy.

He's done nothing yet to show why he should be getting a game. I agree i'd rather have seen Calvin Miller who had 2 good games and hasn't been seen since. Hayes has made about 10 more appearances than him and hasn't played as well as Miller did in his games.

I'd be tempted to give him a run out this weekend.

Has Johnny Hayes actually been that bad?

Id say hes been average. The big problem he has is that he is being compared against Sinclair, Roberts and Forrest who are all excellent wingers. In days gone by Hayes would probably be a first choice starter for Celtic and regarding as good player by Celtic fans, but this is the Invincible Treble Champions that he is trying to get a game for, thats a tough gig for anyone.

I think we should be patient, give him a year or three to settle in.

Second half of the season and he will get the chance.

While he hasn't done enough when he's played, he's played a large amount on the right where he's clearly not comfortable. Looks far better playing on the left.

I'd rest Sinclair again tomorrow and give Hayes a chance.

Can see him getting a chance today and would like to see it personally. I still feel he can offer something.

Punt in January? Never going to break into the first team and I think we need better for back-up. Even if we don't buy other backup, wouldn't like to keep seeing him get chances that Calvin Miller and Mikey Johnstone could be getting.

Honestly think he's do for a start or two. Hasn't really had a good enough chance to get going (although I've been generally unimpressed when he has played).

I just think Sinclair's been a bit of a floater for the better part of this year, especially in the league. He's due for a rest. Think Hayes needs a start to boost him up a bit and to get a chance to prove he is better than what we've seen so far.

I mean, he's not done anything wrong. He's been decent, made some good runs against County, although we could do with better quality to push Sinclair. I think Rodgers put to much faith in Sincy replicating last years form.

Guy looks a nervous wreck playing for us in my opinion.

I wasn't expecting much from this signing but I'm still a bit surprised at how little he has done whenever in the team.

Looks devoid of creativity and is playing within himself. * it.

I'd start him in 2 or 3 games during this busy run coming up.

I think Hayes is a decent squad player but only in terms of the Scottish league, TBH, it would be good if we had the funds to raise the quality of the team, either from promoting some of our youth players are buying when possible.

An odd signing. He played well with Aberdeen but he's not really showed that our improved while here.
He's kinda like GMS for me.
