+1 the way he played against madrid before he got injured was amazing, playing against some big names and having the composure to take the ball by players in tight spots and still pick out a pass is un heard of in an 19 year old.

If he didn't get injured against them he would have been possibly a first team player at the beggining of the season. Atleast in the spl.

I have seen plenty of him, I am just not in the business of building up players for an excellent first team, that have hardly seen any first team action.

No matter what you say, the players he has been doing all this good work against are not the same standard the first team faces. I am not doubting he is a talent but people calling for him to be placed in the first team is, in my opinion a silly idea.

He did run riot against Madrid.

Fair enough it was pre season but he looked one of the best players on the park.

And it was out of position (his favoured position anyway)

That depends on what you mean by first team. I don't think anyone has called for him to be a starter but he should be one of the main impact subs off the bench.

he has looked great when he got his chance in the First team and he was our best player against Real Madrid this summer before he got injured, Along with Watt and Wanyama he is one of our top young players.

Although I respect your comments. They're two completely different Playera. There's no denying Dylan is an exciting prospect but Herron isn't a winger, he got 10 minutes on the pitch and you seem to have already judged him, we need to give our youngsters more time, McCourt is a has been and hopefully will be sold in the January transfer window so there's no point playing him over Dylan or Herron. Paddy is going on 30, Dylan is going on 20, herrons only 18, give the lad a chance.

McGeough isn't a winger either, although Lenny seems to be converting him to one. Which is a shame.

Aye im disappointed than Lennon has never played him in the middle of the park. Hes actually never played him anywhere instead of the right, id also say if out wide he is better on the left cutting in to shoot or crossing with his left foot as he is better at crossing with his left than shooting.

I've had a look through the site there, and cannot believe there hasn't been a thread dedicated to possibly the most under-rated man employed at Celtic.

Here's an excellent article on the man: http://www.footandball.net/john-park-the-man-behind-the-curtain/3853/

Surely the man's hard work has to be deemed in the same mould as Lennon's - which both co-incide with the recent resurgence of Celtic onto the European stage.

Great servant to the club - and long may it continue.

I mind when Mowbray left he wanted to take Park with him and said something about Celtic scouting was excellent as we have a computer database of thousands of players and that Middlesborough's scouting needed revamped.

I doubt Park created that whole database himself even if it was his idea, the other scouts probably dont get enough credit either.
