So we’ve played the same turgid football under three different managers - with the squads being unfit too.

But no one thinks the coach who was there for all three may have a part to play. Madness.

Kennedy will be the same as the board. Folk will suddenly realise he’s not good enough and then kid on they’ve always said it.

As for the Ajer comments, Strachan was in the paper’s after Rodgers left saying Lawwell was one of the best operators in football and a diehard Celt. The support lapped that up too, but most now realise it was a pal praising a pal.

I think John Kennedy is probably an excellent coach. My issue with him being there is 2 fold really.

1- he is definitely not who Ange Postocoglu was wanting. No one will convince me otherwise and
2- he was part of the coaching set up that led us to the most embarrassing season we’ve ever had.

Also, in terms of business, Peter Lawwell is as good an operator as you’re likely to see. Yes, he’s got a lot to answer for with regards to last season and into this season but his business sense is second to none. There’s also no doubt he was born and raised a Celtic fan. He’s just different from the rest of us.

We don't know what falls under the scope of an assistant manager's duties- it has never been officially listed. People have been saying for ages that JK does defense coaching, but it has never been confirmed or disproven. If only there was insider info...

Ffs are seriously having this argument again?

He's a wage stealing duffer who who was a major influence in the most disastrous season in our recent history.

He refuses to take any other job despite offers, refuses to go it on his own and develop, and he's a clueless *; evidenced by his stint in charge, where he recycled the same tactics that got Lennon sacked.

As for the "we don't know of he was the defensive coach!!" patter.... What the * does that matter?

He was a centre back. And he's now a coach. And we CANT * DEFEND. In fact, during his entire tenure as an assistant to multiple managers.... WE HAVENT BEENB ABLE * DEFEND. Surely an ex centre back with YEARS of coaching experience could teach our CB's the * basics?

Everytime an ex player or manager waxes lyrical about him, ppl pile in here to use it as some sort of justification for keeping the * around.

    A. Theyre not gonna say he's * ffs.
B ever think he gets name dropped because he's a nice guy? I've mates who I work with are lazy * but if I say "aye, solid as *, great fella".

    Put this * to bed

The guy is a * parasite.

I don't know how good a coach he is..

I do know he disgusted me last season when he took over from that wee clown Lennon..

He owes his entire career solely to the toxic board that is dragging this club into the Europa Conference.

Whatever his ability that’s all that matters.

    Have you people learned nothing?

The fact he's staying behind, coming in extra days or that to coach defenders and we're hoaching in that department says a lot.

Don't know why he's doing that anyway because he's not our defensive coach :fear:

TBF, Deila was a defender, too. A playing position apparently has little effect on a staff member/manager's ability to affect that particular area of the pitch.

Your arguments are valid, though. I guess we were OK in Lennon's first comeback season, but we had Forster in goals for that one. Before that, we had * defenses all the way back to when Wanyama was here.

In addition.... If he's such a super duper coach then why isn't he at Leicester with Snake?

    Either;

A: Highly likely.... Rodgers didn't * want him.

B: Rodgers DID want him and he shatvit, knowing he'd be * found out, just like he shat when Hibs came about.

    Or....

C: he just loves US so so much he can't bare to leave.

Just a wee point of order:

“I trained every single day with John Collins and we would often do extra work together. He has a drive that impressed me, to get the maximum out of every player, every single day.

“He knows his football and helped improve aspects of my game during the one year I worked with him, no doubts about that.

“I’m gutted he is leaving Celtic because he is an excellent coach and a fine human being. I’m certain he will go on to new adventures in football, and I wish him well."

    Virgil Van Dijk.

A wee smirk or a grin and I would've forgotten all about 10IAR and getting pumped 4-1 off they *.

Couldn't believe when the 4th went in and it cut to him he wasn't even smiling.
