Its not hate, well not on my part anyway...just don't get all the hype over someone who is only a legend in his own head and got something like 4 goals in the last 6 months here.

His ego is going to ruin the career he could have had.

For the Stanjarn and carrier bag games, we were going to win them no matter who started up front (Qarabag games were a bit tight right enough). Griffiths started the Malmo games.

Because he forced his way in mate. Ronny thought Qarabag were the toughest team in the full qualifying.

Most people don't like a guy with an ego. Especially in this country.

It doesn't matter if he could even back it up or not, he's one of those characters plenty of folk won't really take to.

I think people are unfair when judging his time here though. Always felt that.

15 goals and 12 assists in your debut season after near enough 3 years without any first team football isn't bad going. Virtually carried us for 2-3 months at the beginning of the season as well.

Considering our recent striker buys, that is a decent return. A fit Guidetti would probably guarantee you 20 goals a season, as well as Griffiths contributing.

For me, definitely his character, yeah. Not the Celtic way.

What is the 'Celtic way' character?

We have had mavericks/characters throughout our history. I'd even use Brown as an example, the celebration against Diouf will be immortalised in our history. Typical Broony(see Devlin's signature above)

    Humility, in part.

He was an egomaniac and in his own mind he was bigger than CFC.
Glad he never stuck around after the way he sulked during the celebrations that time.

So that's Barca and Atletico he's scored against. Always just got that veeling from him he was a big game player.

Exactly what I was mentioning in here before.

An absolute belter of a goal too. Seems to be hitting form now.

Don't think that will happen unless he's playing for someone else

Said it at the time we * up by not managing to peg him on a long term deal!! Cifti & Coles wages combined are more than Guidetti would've been on and he'd have done more on the field by now than those 2 over the whole season! Big game player & a real personality! Should've got him!!
