Don't give a shiny * what the Huns do. There's something wrong when our level of ambition for a key position is a 34 yr old that has done * all since leaving Man city, hasn't played much and when he did was pretty *.
Surely we can do better than that?

I agree it's the cheap option but surely the wage he is on will be pretty high and I'm sure that could be used to get someone else in, I read spurs want a fee for him as well again that fee ,if true, could be used to bring in a decent younger keeper .
If there's a fee involved then that coupled with a hefty wage might be enough to entice big Forster back...even on loan?

Not disagreeing with the longer term issue. But for now we need an experienced goalkeeper in the door. Hart ticks that box.

lol, I hold on to the hope that at least Hart at one point was a top level goalkeeper.. (unlike Barkas and Bain).

Maybe Stevie Woods can perform a miracle and get him back to form.

Would prefer someone better than Hart but * me I'd take literally anyone right now that actually looks like a keeper because the ones we have don't...

It's a short term fix so get the * finger out Celtic and start looking for a lo.... ahhhh what's the point?

Stevie Woods is another "coach" who appears to draw the admiration of ex players and a section of the support, but with * all to back it up.

Credited with Fraser Forster's rise to an England cap.

But very few people talk about how he had 6 years with Craig Gordon Bleu, and couldn't train him to keep the ball out if his near post, or take an accurate goal kick, or pass a ball without nearly falling over himself, or even make a bog standard save without flipping his ankles up in the air to make it look spectacular. In fact, it might be argued that Gordon digressed after his first season under Woods.

Hes had over a full season with Barkas and that * has actually (didn't believe it possible) gotten worse.

Bain looks exactly the same keeper as when he arrived.

So I wouldn't be holding my breath expecting miracles with Joe Hart.

I suspect Stevie Woods can't teach Hart anything he doesn't already know. Maybe we"ll get a GK coach out of Hart when he hangs the gloves up.

He can’t play in goals for them. If they are bad they are bad, which is exactly what Barkas, Bain and in my opinion Gordon are.

But he got the absolute best out of Gordon.

We talked to him last year as well by all accounts. That’s not a panic buy.

whether it’s the right move or not can be argued but a panic, with 4 weeks left of the window we’ve previously had contact with? That’s not panic, that’s a decision that’s been thought about.

I * hate Gordon and it can’t be argued he coached him back after a 2 year hiatus from football to be a decent first team keeper.

I slate him consistently cos I don’t like him but in the last 25 years he’s comfortably the 3rd best keeper we’ve had.

I wouldn’t say he *. 75 caps for England, premier league titles, golden glove awards for most clean sheets in a season, plenty of trophies and experience.

I don’t think he’s at his peak obviously but he’s a player that could get back to a top level, good coaching and consistently playing and getting more confident. Everyone thought Craig Gordon was finished before he joined us.

My issue isn’t about his goalkeeping ability really because he’ll definitely be an improvement. My issue is I don’t think he’s the goalkeeper that suits Ange’s style of play. It makes me question who is making the signings and fees like we’re just desperate for a new keeper (probably very true) but we’re not waiting to sign the right players.

Not a fan, apparently a right * of a guy but would take him right now as I cry when I see Bain and Barkas between the sticks.
I know Marshall made a screw up at Euros but would take him, miles better than what we have.
