His details are probably lying on Lawells desk untouched.

Would be mega disappointing to lose out on this lad to the Huns.

Looks a player with great potential. Wanyama-like.

Same. Sad reality of the situation is that although slippy is a rookie manager, he's a massive name in football and young players will want to play for him. Thats the only card the zombies have to play.

Although like some have said Lawwell probably decided to stick his name in the file and leave it alone on his desk

The sad reality is that a young English midfielder growing up watching Steven Gerrard might want to play under him, believing the utter pish he will be spouting during said “talks”.

Zero chance if we offer more money.

And we have far, far more money.

Yeah a lot of players will be attracted to Gerrard's name as opposed to Lennon's. However, money does talk and we should be blowing them out of the water in that respect.

Also, we've got the lure of potential CL football, current champions of all domestic fronts, better facilities etc.

Footballers don’t care about money what you on about.

Jokes aside, we might have money but we are tight *.

Yep. We probably won't offer him much more than the huns would.

    This..

This whole playing for slippy thing....same clown threw his player's under the bus weekly last season. Sounds a great guy to work under..

If we want him, we'll get him..

    Steady on..

I know we aren't exactly shining in the recruitment department but these *'s are two or three bids deep and still haggling for an English league two defender from Oldham..

We've done the same plenty of times, tbf.

We keep saying they have no money but they clearly do. Not sure how much Davis and Defoe are on but I doubt we are paying most of our players a whole lot more.

Haggling or a league 2 player over half a mill roughly? That's news to me..

Davis signed a 1 year deal. Defoe is on loan. Davis probably isn't even 20 grand and Defoe will be no more than 25..

That's their big marquee signings as well when they thought they could win the league in January..

Not a league 2 player, but the level doesn’t matter. We’ve haggled for ages over a few hundred grand plenty of times.

We’re obviously a more attractive prospect than the huns when it comes to money and trophies. However with Gerrard being their manager, he’s definitely going to attract more players than Lennon would if we’re talking about the pull of a manager - particularly for young, English players.

If it’s simply about money then Aribo will stay down south.

    Good.

England are perennial losers. The huns are welcome to the next crop of overhyped *.

Of course it matters.....They're haggling with a club who are broke as * and won't pay the going rate. Oldham can't even train in their local park's some day's..

We've had some * ups and can be tight but they're on another level..

We'll see. I honestly don't think it'll hold much weight. He obviously isn't even that we'll looked after by his own club and Klopp either considering the hand me downs are well down the pecking order of loan's they sent out last season..

If it's a straight choice then we win hand's down. Title's, cups, possible champion's league football all trumps what they can offer....and wages if it was about that either..

Reading online and a lot of huns seem to be pretty sure that they have him in the bag.

People need to remember than ultimately when it comes to the crunch, we would outmuscle that lot in every single way to get this over the line...

If we wanted this guy, we would have him, end of story.
