He was prolific on here for a while.
His star had to fade quickly because it burned so fiercely.:bbpd:

FORMER Celtic midfielder Jiri Jarosík has launched a scathing attack on Scottish football and reckons it's lagging 30 years behind England.

The Czech spent two years at Parkhead after he was signed in 2006 in a £2million move from Birmingham City and spent 18 months in Glasgow before moving to Russian club Krylia Sovetov for half the price.

The former Chelsea player is now manager of Russian club Orenburg after he joined last month.

But he's admitted that he hated his spell in Scottish football when he was a player with Celtic.

He said: "I would compare the Scottish league with the English league of 30 years ago.

"Scotland has lots of local players, coaches and still play a kick and rush style.

When I was at Celtic, I always considered myself a team player, but I was playing with guys who got the ball, booted it forward as quickly as possible and then lost the ball.

"But on the other hand, there was always an amazing atmosphere at matches.

"We won the league when I was there and beat a very strong Manchester United in the Champions League.

"But honestly, I didn't like Scottish football at all."

I mean he is literally basing his opinion on Scottish football of 20 years ago - so it makes sense what he says :giggle1:

I'd be shocked if he's watched more than a handful of matches in the two decades since leaving.

Big talk from a guy who was utter dogshit for us.

I’ll never forget him and Evander Sno’s performance in our 3-0 defeat at Ibrox in 2007.

    Completely heartless.

We’re a far better team technically than we were back then under Strachan and we play much nicer football.

The league hasn’t progressed so much though, so the hoofball comment is probably fair enough.

We talk * about the size/quality of our league holding us back all the time so can't really blame him tbh, think a fair few foreign players will feel the same way, good support and big european nights the obvious positives for coming here, but then trips to places like dingwall and inverness against hammer throwers is just the polar opposite experience.
