Frustrated me more that Lennons only tactic seemed to be to get the players to pass him the ball and then stand back and watch and wait for him to do something with it every time.

Celtic could be set to land a huge windfall with Manchester United lining up a big money move to sign Jeremie Frimpong from Bayer Leverkusen.

The former Celtic defender moved to the Bundesliga in January 2021 and has continued to impress at the German club, and now United could bring him to the English Premier League. The former Manchester Cityyoungster was a huge hit in Glasgow under Neil Lennon, impressing in the right-back position and earning his £11m move to Leverkusen, in which the Hoops also included a 'significant' sell on clause in the deal.


They also had to pay Man City a hefty chunk of the transfer fee they had received, but now they are in line to earn a big amount if United follow up their interest and sign the Holland U21 full back in the January window. Sky Sports Germany say he is on Erik Ten Hag's wanted list and they want to sign a 'high quality' right back amid Aaron Wan-Bissaka's poor form.


They currently have Diego Dalot and Wan-Bissaka as options for the position, but feel an upgrade is needed and Frimpong's pace and attacking threat are viewed as important assets for the team.


The 21-year-old is under contract at Leverkusen until 2025 and with his age, it will cost United a big transfer fee to get him in January or in the summer if they wait until then.

You see what Ange done to some of the existing players when he arrived.

It's a shame we didn't get to see that with Frimpong.

He'd have been unplayable under Ange, I could see Abada and him especially being nothing short of the worst nightmare to any team in Scotland.

 

I'd agree, Man U should only be looked at perhaps once (If he's given the time that is), Ten Hag has been there and completed two season.

By that point they should have moulded the squad as well as the overall set up to more in line with what he wants to achieve.

If anything, I'd not be surprised if he somehow finds his way back to Man City.

 

As mentioned couldn't give a *, same with edouard, tierney too, just give us a slice of dough and then not interested thereafter.
