I said that in relation to any other names that I know are potentially coming in.

The 2 that have I have commented on are players that through my source I know are 100% not going to Celtic.

Doesn’t seem to be any substance to this. Just twitter speculation.

The treatment table is busy enough without this guy queuing up for it. We don’t need him Turnbull is a class box to box player and we have Christie and mcgregor. Brown will continue to play a part. People saying brown is finished are talking nonsense. I agree he’s looked a bit short of pace recently but the team as a whole haven’t exactly performed have they. We need his experience this season not a journeyman who knocked us back before

McCarthy in his prime (last season at Wigan, first at Everton) would have been a great Brown replacement. He hasn't been close to that level in years though, injuries have really taken a toll on his career.

Mccarthy in his prime and without injuries would be at a mid-top EPL club.

He is just off the back of a 33 game season for Palace. He doesnt shirk a tackle either.
I think he will take Browns place and keep it once given the chance.

There seems to be enough to suggest there is something in it.

Would love to see kayal in again , free and able to fill the broony role as well if not better than most , he is talking up a move back on the bak of big Shane, but not the worst idea in the world .

He played 6 games last year, he was injury prone enough first time here.
