Thought he was excellent when he came on, just a pity he missed a great chance, also had another where he should've released a shot on goal instead of carrying the ball further.

    No it wasn’t.

Some might be the same people, but I’m not one of them and I don’t really see how another player is relevant in this debate. Forrest has been a huge contributing factor in the success of the last ten years, I really don’t think that can be questioned or denied at all.

He was a real threat when he came on. As you say its a real pity he missed that sitter right after he came on. In retrospect that was the turning point in the game. If we go 2-0 I don't see them getting 2 goals but instead Forrest misses and they go down and equalise a minute later and then we gradually run out of fuel and options. Having said all that considering Forrest has not played a minute in pre-season or in the first leg I though he looked very dangerous when he came on. Despite that miss Forrest cannot be held to blame for last nights debacle. That is all on the board.

He could have a massive season with Ange.

Between the promise Abada is showing and the directness of Forrest we should have some good rotation on the right.

Hopefully Kyogo fires on all cylinders, Starfelt settles the defence with Welsh as Jullien supposedly seems months away from playing.

New RB, LB, GK and most likely a loanee striker we should see domestic success. My position on that hasn't changed. * any level of European football, I honestly couldn't * care for it this season, I want the league title back where it belongs and I'm still in no doubt Ange can deliver it if the board * wake up and give Ange what he * needs

Just noticed that Forrest is the player who has played most Celtic matches in the current squad.
He is 83 matches ahead of Cal mac in 2nd place.
    Forrest on 412
    Cal Mac on 329

Forrest is also Celtic's current 2nd most prolific goal scorer behind Griff

Missed two sitters in as many games. Bit disappointing to be honest

Seems to have lost his ability to go past a defender. Passenger tonight when he needed to stand up and be counted.

Can't blame him though, not really fit and shouldn't really be playing but the options are * and you can say the same for most of the team.

In reality Bain, Bitton, Starfeldt, Ralston, Taylor, Forrest, Kyogo, even Abada and Edouard shouldn't be playing they should be back-up player, being eased in from the bench for a month or sold yet they're all playing.

    * shambles.

Said it last year that I thought he was finished and nothing tonight or midweek has changed my mind..

I had him as one of the few players I thought was good enough to stay but I think that was more in hope than belief..

Can't beat defenders anymore, finishing has gone, crossing is pish...

But using FBref stats for league appearances :

    Forrest : 13th season : 17577 minutes

    McGregor : 9th season : 18792 minutes

So using this measure, McGregor has played the equivalent of 12 games more than Forrest , in 4 less seasons.

What really counts though is contribution/ fight / effort tonight, no contest in my eyes.
