Definitely no coincidence he performs better when he has folk pushing him for his place.

We need a proper rw to push him for his place, he’s so complacent. Yes he was doing some nice inter play and touches but he really should have been giving the left back a skelping. His final delivery can be absolutely brutal, playing with 2 up top and not one fired into them. He has the ability but his inconsistency is becoming to be a problem, he’s starting to remind me of the age old rw problem we always seem to have, get to the final third and next to no end product. He needs someone chewing his balls off for his space in the team but thus far no one stepping up. With Shved going on loan I feel we need to either sign or loan someone. Can’t be going on with this bull of turning up sometimes and being Where’s Jamesy the next.

Don't think we can complain too much about his end product, this is a guy who was directly involved in nearly 30 goals last , be it assist or scoring.

Just feel like he could do with a break from time to time, but we just don't have anyone to deputise for his position.

That’s the issue though, he’s hot and cold. When he’s hot it’s a joy to watch. When he’s cold it’s brutal, it’s actually like a hindrance to the team as they all have to work harder to fill in for him disappearing.

That cutback for Moi on the penalty spot was just begging to hit the back of the net.

I would love to see young Jerry given a shot at RW.

Thought he was fine tbh, linked up very well with Elhamed. Seems to have a better understanding with him despite playing with Frimpong a lot more

i dont think hes being told to stay wide, i think were coached to leave the width for the fullbacks which makes sense when we have the ball so much

so basically him and elonnoussi are inside forwards

JF: "We had a good week of hard training and it was good to be back at Celtic Park playing again. You saw the performance and the goals, and I think we did really well. Now, we’re just wanting to kick-start from now

JF: "It was strange playing a European tie with no fans in the stadium. It was different, but the boys did really well. We created chances for 90 minutes, we scored goals and it was good to be back. It was a good test

    JF on single-leg #UCL

qualifiers: "We just need to adapt to the one-off games. In cup ties in Scotland, we’re familiar with that. Anything can happen and we know that we need to be at our best and hit the ground running straight from the start."

JF on prospect of fans returning in limited numbers: "That’s really promising. If you ask any player at any team, everyone wants the fans back there."

JF: "When we were in France [on pre-season], having those few thousand fans there made a big difference, so I think that slight atmosphere, home and away, will be beneficial for everyone."

JF on #DUFCCEL: "They've started this season strongly so we know it's going to be a difficult game but one that we look forward too."

He's looking normal again, thank * for that

Also he played good the other night. Definitely links up better with Elhamed rather than Frimpong, maybe cos Frimpong and him occupy similar spaces on the pitch?

If we had another decent right wing option he'd be getting a rest/dropped. Not his fault obviously but he needs competition. Sooner rather than later.

It’s not surprising JF’s form has suffered a little over the past 12 months.

Like Calmac, and KT before him, certain players in our squad get over played. And run the risk of burn out and injuries.

Frankly Brooney is a monster, but even he gets tired occasionally.

We have to trust our fringe players more, or we run the risk of shortening the careers of our favourite homegrown players

Totally agree, guess only Jerry F and Ryan C can fill that position.

He seems to be very hot and cold atm.
Id really think we need someone to come in a give him a big of competition or even a rest.
Wouldnt be opposed to the idea of Frimpong moving one forward into right mid as he would defo be able to play there.

I dont think hes been as bad as a lot of folk are making out but as I said a page or so back he needs someone senior chasing him.

    Not just Dembele.
