JF: “It was good to finally get our hands on the trophy. We’ve got that seventh under our belt now and we can just look forward to next Saturday now.

JF: “We’re delighted for everyone at the club and for the fans. We’re buzzing that we’ve got that seventh trophy.”

JF: “We were wanting to put on a show in the last home game of the season for the fans but it wasn’t to be. We need to be positive though and take confidence going into the cup final next Saturday.”

JF: “The manager said to us after the game that he was disappointed. We didn’t get the win and give the fans what they deserved today but the league is all about the full season and we’ve been the best team throughout.”

JF: “When you get a trophy, you know how good it is and you want more. You appreciate it because of the hard work you put in during pre-season and then through the season. I think that strives you on to get more."

JF: “The manager has always been about the next game. He hasn’t really spoken about the cup final because we had this game. We have this full week now to concentrate on that. Now that this game is finished we can focus on the cup final.

JF:” We’ve played Motherwell a few times this season and we’ve drawn against them on the last two occasions. We know they’re going to make it tough for us. They’ve done quite well this season."

JF: “It doesn’t matter who you play in the cup final, it’s going to be 90 minutes and it’s going to be tough. We need to make sure we’re right at it from the start.”

James Forrest has featured in every one of Celtic's last seven successive title wins - but the winger is desperate for more.

The Scotland internationalist has come through the ranks at the club and is desperate to make a bit of history with the Parkhead side next weekend.

"When you play for Celtic it’s drummed into you that you should be wanting to win things," he said.

“So for me to come through and be part of seven league titles is incredible.

“We now have the cup final on Saturday which we want to win and then it’ll start all over again next season. It’s about trying to get as much you can.

“For everyone at the club, it’s been a great achievement.

“When we win a trophy, we want the next one, that is the attitude.

“When you get one, you know how good it is because of all the hard work you put in each season.

“In the last few weeks of the season or when you get your hands on the trophy and get a medal then it only strives you on to get more."

Forrest scored on his senior debut against Motherwelleight years ago but is expecting a tough afternoon from the Fir Park side at Hampden.

"I’ve played against Motherwell for a few years now and the last two times we have drawn against them," he said.

"We know they are going to make it tough for us and make it hard. They have done quite well this season, but it doesn’t matter who you play in a cup final, it’s going to be hard and we have to make sure we are right at it from the start.

"The manager has not really spoken about the cup final yet. We wanted to get this game out of the way first and we have a full week now to concentrate on that.

"The manager obviously wanted a good performance on trophy day at home in front of the fans.

"That was the focus. But now the game has finished we can focus on that cup final and we will have a good week hopefully to take us into the final."

Took his goal well, glad to see him get into the opponents box a lot the same as last season. Expecting a big campaign from him again this year.

He's warming up for his inevitable goals in the CL qualifying to get us through to the group stage. This Bhoy has single-handedly brought £50m+ to Celtic. What a Bhoy! What a goal!

You'd think after all these years we'd put aside a few quid and buy the poor boy a neck.
