    At the very least should be taken a look at under a new manager after a year playing well at a good level.

    If we were to be linked with a Belgian CB who's been playing as well as him we would give it more of a chance.

    That comes from.someone who thinks he isn't that great...but times are desperate.

    Did you watch the Belgian side that Rangers played in Europe?

    I can see why Hendry is getting rave reviews judging by how bad they were. :giggle1:

    and it wasn't a straight red either 2nd yellow ffs thought scotlands game was meant to be the over physical one

    Hopefully the new manager sees that he is no where good enough like a few others * this give him a chance he is utter *.. Plus we shouldn't be signing any player from the spl at all.

    I take it you mean from this point onward? Because we've signed a multitude of fantastic players from the SPFL the past 2 decades. Turnbull being the most recent example.

    Whatever has happened in Belgium has clealry been the making of Hendry. Lots of Centre Backs don't show their full potential until their mid 20s because experience is so key. He didn't have that here.

    Do we really want to go out and spend another £5-10m on a CB when we already have an award winning CB on the books that is free? Surely it would make sense to give him 6 months to see if he has improved. It'll cost us no more than a wage. I would hate to see another John McGinn situation, though this would be worse because we had him and let him go. It's not like we have a Mjallby and Balde keeping him out the team.

    Realistically it's got to be the new managers decision whether Hendry gets another crack at it. Personally I'd say there's no harm in keeping him in the squad for next season, we can only benefit from it. There is no downside to seeing how he gets on under the new setup.

    But I'd still give him one more chance. Not saying I'd have him starting but we are going to be low on numbers as it is and we won't solve every single issue in the one window.

    Just because that Belgian side were * doesn't mean I'd say no to any player linked from there in future. Remember where we play our football!
