    Peterborough have just signed another striker who appears to be a replacement for Toney.

    Regardless of Edouard’s situation, we should get this deal done after last night.

    Edouard is likely to leave but even if he stays it’s clear that Klimala isn’t fancied so we need another striker anyway.

    Agree that the board are less likely to spend cash now and will be more inclined to go for loans. But if Lennon wants players who are committed to the club then signing loan players won't please him.

    We've missed out on CL but if we want to qualify next year we need to start building for it now.

    BRENTFORD AGREE TONEY DEAL

    Brentford have agreed a deal with Peterborough to sign striker Ivan Toney. The agreement is believed to be worth up to £10m.

    Toney told Sky Sports News earlier this month he wanted to play in the Premier League, but no concrete offers emerged.

    At least three other clubs were interested.

    A decent player, and I think he did want to hold out for a move to us, but 10 million is ridiculous for a 24 year old league 1 player, with one year on his contract.

    Celtic do this every year. Go into these qualifiers with the bare minimum hoping to get int the group stages to try then bring in a quality player. We then fail and Groundhog Day again

    Then why did he go ?? He’s just tied him myself to a club he doesn’t want to go to. He held all the cards he could have hung on and signed a free in jan and got a tidy signing on fee and a club he wants to play for. Fukin Brentford ffs
