It’s 2020, * have been signing players for £100m for about a decade now. £2m is fuckall in footballing terms, even in the climate we find ourselves in just now.

 

its all relative. £2.5m to any other team in scotland is a lot of money. A lot of the teams we come up against in qualifiers i.e. the malmos, AEK, Maribors in the world cant afford to spend that kind of money on a player.
it also adds up pretty quickly when players flop.

 

Got to take the fact that 100 million is propped up by future ticket and tv money it’s never up front when it’s that kind of money and half the time the player will mover on 3 years later for a price that then goes to pay it off Barcelona still owe Liverpool I think for coutinho

Looks a good signing so far. Obviously just early doors. Seems a pest but a good passer of the ball and turns well.

 

Impressive today. Loves a wee touch round the corner and he rattles his passes into feet.

Wee bit more coaching needed in terms of positional sense etc, but he looks good.

 

Raw but plenty of talent in there. Some of the spins he produced on the ball to get us out of pressure and on the attack were really clever bits of play.

Looks technically skilled and a nice passer of a ball, good in possession, seems to like to sit quite deep though so hopefully is quite good defensively otherwise we might not see much of him as Ntcham and McGregor do the deeper role well while also being goal threats so he'd be unlikely to get a game there unless he's better defenisvely than them.

 

Did he look quick today?

Pre season games and YouTube YouTube before I I honestly thought he looked quick but others were saying they thought he looked quite slow..

I would say definitely not slow but he's not a pace merchant or anything, about Kayal quick.

 

If someone like Soro can help allow for a system for McGregor be further up field I'd be all for it.

I'd feel more at ease with arguably selling Rogic then letting Christie and McGregor fight it out

 

He’s definitely no slouch. I’d say he looked sharper today than he has this far and considering the role he plays that will only help with the number of short bursts of pace he’ll be required to make.

He’s definitely very mobile, gets around the pitch well and seems to have a good reading of the game. It will take time to adjust to our style and the style of the league, but I’ve got high hopes for him.
