Toms provided plenty of legendary moments in his career here. It’s impossible to compete with The Lions, it’s a different era. But it’s an era that Tom provided a lot of defining moments, which will be spoken about for decades. That’s legendary.

Got to disagree, if you want to talk about legendary moments in modern times for me then you would say the king of kings, again I think Rogic has been a cult hero but the word legend or legendary gets banned about far too much.

Paddy McCourt and Cha Du Ri are cult heroes ffs.

Tom Rogic is at the very least a Celtic “great”.

Sick of the semantics with all this. Big Tam Rogic will be remembered by Celtic fans for generations for his part in the 9 in a row and invincible treble. We'll tell our kids about him. Pictures of him will adorn Celtic pubs all over the world. His big * handsome face will light up my dreams til I die. Thats all that matters.

Du Ri is a laughing stock let’s be honest here, McCourt I’ve never understood either if I’m totally honest.

Celtic Great? Yeah I would put him in that bracket as well, cult/great.

    Nah not for me.

Legend gets used too often. Very few players I'd reserve that title for.

Hes had some incredible moments as a celtic player and will always be fondly remembered. But he's also had a number of very below par seasons.

I think if he was playing 35-40 games a season, he would be in with more of a shout but between injuries, international duties and being dropped, he was in and out the team too much at times.

He's written his name into Celtic history and will always be remembered very fondly. Which is all that matters.

Let's put it this way, would we be getting a statue for him?

Won’t be getting a statue for Larsson either. Or Burns, or most of the Lions.

Henrik Larsson isn’t even in the same category as McNeill, the guy who captained us to European glory, 5 trophies in the one season, 9 in a row and played the most matches for us ever? There’s literally no other player in our history that matches his legacy for us and can be put into his category.

Won't get one for every legend in every club, but those mentioned guys most certainly deserve one.

    With great merits to it.

Rogic would never be in a discussion for one, outside of this chat.

There’s a * of guys that would never be mentioned for one that are legends. Never heard anyone ask for a Ronnie Simpson statue.

All semantics really, pick your own definition and stick with it.

    He doesn’t quite fit mine.

We have been so * dominant for coming on 23 years now and so many amazing talents have worn the Hoops in that time. Some players I consider Legends will not be other fans picks. Forrest is a Celtic great for me whilst McGregor is a Legend as he has gained the Captaincy. Big Tom and Nir will be Celtic greats with cult status but they aren’t Legends IMO.

Can't imagine anyone arguing that Cal is a legend? Part of everything great in last decade, captain of the recovery season, with us since a kid... He's like Tierney, except he stayed...

Agree with the rest though... :50:

Larsson is the last Celtic legend. People putting Brown or Rogic in that category are nuts.

Scott Brown was here for 14 years, won 10 league titles and captained us to the majority of those while racking up over 600 appearances for the club. He won 12 domestic cups for Celtic and won Player of the Year twice. He’s an icon and synonymous with a decade of utter dominance for the club. He’s a Celtic legend.
