I posted on the thread with about ten minutes to go that we might still get something despite how we had stupidly let them into the game.

This does not excuse how poor wee had been from Joe Hart’s flangeball moment and the collective shoddy performances from that point on.

I have never understood the fuss with Juranovic to be honest. I think his distribution is poor and he gets caught out with the diagonal ball all the time, however I’m defending him after being put on out of position next to another right footed defender playing on the left side of defence. He has just come off the high of third place in World Cup and thrown on for the first time in months into a role on the opposite side of the park than he is used to. Not his fault at all.

O’Reily is another player who needs to put a bit more on his passes and some more dig. He is more languid than Bitton and that takes some doing.

I can’t remember Forrest ever having a top performance against Sevco, can anyone? Maybe Ange thought his experience in front of the new chap AJ might help him, it didn’t.

Hatate runs his * off and sometimes his passes just don’t come off.

McGregor I thought was excellent again as he had to cover the continued loss of possession further up the field.

Maeda does the difficult thing and scores, but the other time when the ball is played perfectly to him he skies it showing the exact opposite of the composure for the first goal. I love him, but he frustrates the * out of me.

Kyogo, where to start? I thought he was simply not in the game and then boom, he takes the wind out their sails.

I simply think that, when the occasion arises such as games at The Debt Star, we need more dig. We need to fight for the right to party (if you’ll pardon the Beastie Boys pun).

I think it is the absolute height of arrogance to think that Angeball will always win the day, hence the continued reeming we get in Europe. Yeah, we never stop, but that should mean we can also get tore right in before we get to play our own version of ballet on a football pitch. That’s not disrespecting our philosophy, it’s adapting to the circumstances of each game.

The utter calamity of the own penalty box flangeball is a * disgrace though. It happens at least once in almost every single game. It is arrogant to simply say we are sticking to the boss’s philosophy. What? To give hope to the opposition? Heart attacks to the folks that pay your wages?

A poor 60 minutes, a penalty denied and we walked away unscathed.

As stonewall a penalty as you'll see. Sakalas foot lands on Starfelts foot and makes him fall, stone wall. Starfelt shouldn't go to ground. We should have had one too.

Forrest was a veritable empty shirt, and Juranovic just knocked at least 5m off his asking price.

Starfelt was also a walking calamity imo.

Hart was sloppy and allowed that fat triangle to muscle him off the ball.

Only CCV and Cal get actual pass marks from me today.

As soon as Taylor went off we absolutely shat it. Ryan Kent was "back" to tiptoeing through our defence with our players backing off him like he's * Messi. Ridiculous.

Our defence was absolutely calamitous at times. If we're being honest, the angles on that fat * head saved us, TWICE. The * was given two free headers FFS.

As much as I love Ange he still clearly doesn't get the culture of this fixture imo. We KNEW Tavpen would get it's moment, and we KNEW questionable decisions would go to Sevco. I love that we have a never say die attitude and an unshakable confidence, but arses needed kicked before a ball was kicked yesterday, nevermind after.

I don't look at it as claiming a point. I see is dropping two. That mutant side was on its * in the first half. Yet after 40 odd minutes we'd only had one shot, one goal. Ridiculous.

 

I think that's a bit of a stretch. Ange is fully aware of the standard/bias of refs here, he just doesn't talk about it publicly.
