    I understand. It's not a particular favourite genre of mine either, as mentioned earlier in this thread with @paulie walnuts , as had to sit through so many of them when I was in highschool as my 2 best friends were pretty much obsessed with them, lol.

    But there are plenty of psychological horror, horror comedies, supernatural, animations and more family friendly spooktaculars listed there also and not just all gorefests, so it's obviously up to you, but there are plenty to choose from - if you choose to. :50:

    Shame I missed the nominations for this thread, probably my favourite genre.
    Some of the best horrors I've seen have been foreign, then u.s.a. remake them as pure *. (Martyr's, The Ring etc). Surprised they haven't tried to * up Switchblade Romance, Audition, Frontiers. Although I did enjoy "Funny Games" remake. Made by the same director as the original, and basically shot scene for scene as the origional

    Definitely. Japan especially has crafted so many classics, but the American remakes rarely stand up - the first Ring, with Naomi Watts, was pretty * scary... but then see the Japanese original and it's whole different level. One of the most recent to get this treatment )well anything 10 years old is still relatively recent for me at least, lol) has been the remake of Let the Right One In. Underwhelming to say the least, even allowing for the amazing Chloe Grace Moretz.

    ALL OF THEM!!!!
    Used to have a p.c. and downloaded loads ofthe most * up films I could find. And the foreign ones were usually the best, especially Japanese. Train to Busan (South Korea I think) was the last good one I saw. There's a sequel out now called "Peninsula", might check it out tonight
