I think we can talk all day about the ref and we miss the point tbh , they had the legs and the determination and drive to get over the line .
We can talk all day about the physicality as well and say that's wot won the game ,ange got us to this point playing in a style we love ,we can't now rip up the script from 1 poor game , we need to look at the whole thing and see where we can be better ,we are still improving.
We are not like them and hide from facts we can agree when they are better and deserve it more , there are many reasons we can point to although am sure ange will not let the players blame the ref even though he was fkn shocking ,we don't let him count .

The ref wasn't the reason we lost, it was a close game where it could've went either way and sadly on this occasion it didn't fall in our favour. Carter-Vickers shot goes in and the game would've been over. But I don't think we can deny that Madden's inept performance had a big impact on proceedings, to our disadvantage.

Yeh I agree he affected our play by not putting a stop to the fouling , but I'm thinking ange is the type that doesn't look for an easy way out , we get better and the ref is insignificant, there was a point in that game where they were about to give up ,it didn't last long ,am sure they took heart from ccv miss , we acknowledge they are a strong side and its credit we are where we are so soon , learn from it , get even better ,don't let the ref count .

Guys this thread is irrelevant. Why. Because unless the club the board the manager the players the media lol call this out theres no point in crying about it in this thread. We play in a rigged league every year and get shafted by officials. Im sorry but if you want to play in a fairer league we have to move to another league or threaten too move or even refuse to play in the league cup or scottish cup as a protest otherwise we just aimlessly go around in circles posting in forums that while help us express our feelings sadly wont change things.thats the truth hard to accept or not HH MADDEN IS A HUN * THOUGH

I'm not one for blaming refs in fact I barely think I've ever posted in this thread, however, he really was abysmal yesterday.

Some decisions I just stared in disbelief. A referee who is on Internet podcasts with ex pros etc and thinking he is a celebrity should.not be refereeing rhe biggest game in the country.

It is embarrassing for Scottish football.

It's true that we didn't lose solely because of the referee but if he sends Lundstram off for a 2nd booking as he should have done it would certainly have tipped the game in our favour. We may still not have won but it would have made it much harder for sevco. CCV hitting the bar when he should have scored was massive, had it gone in it would definitely have finished the game.

His social media post in the evening was a very clear "* you" to Celtic. He was quite clearly "at it" the whole game.

Hard to see how the refs decisions could not have a baring on the result. Who’s to know what would have come from the countless attacks where our players were hauled back without any cards given. Also players on a yellow with an impartial ref would have to be very careful how they attacked.

It was a bit like having to play a game uphill and blaming the players for not being up to scratch

It also has the double effect of our players getting extremely frustrated with it, which can affect your game too.

I can't remember the last time I saw a load of our players surround the ref but they did yesterday, in disbelief at another non booking.

I know one thing, if Madden or the likes of Beaton were involved in game's where they gave performances like yesterday and Beaton's at Ibrox, for us, they wouldn't be officiating in our biggest game's still. No chance..

The photo he chose was also very subtle too, the angle of it makes it look as though he is leading Sevco out onto the pitch.

It means * all mate - let the corrupt, biased Orangeman enjoy the moment where he knowingly did everything he could to shaft us to give his team a cup final place (not a cup and a medal but a place). It's embarrassing really that he and the hoardes see a cup final place as success when we have a quadruple treble behind us, two nine in a row titles and likely another league title this year in our 'transition' year. They have accomplished * all and they know it. Beautiful. * them and * Madden.

Seeing the vote for VAR is this week, any possibility that both refs had shockers to swing the vote? A wee bit controversy to stoke the anger.

Here is another strange question, why did van Bronkhurst keep on players who had been booked ? why did he not fear a sending off ? players wer replaced only for fresh legs .how many times have they had a sending off this season.

One of their players would have needed to decapitate one of our players to get a red yesterday and even then Madhun would have thought twice about giving it

I'm not accepting that he just had a bad game , he isn't a bad ref ,meant to be a top ref , you don't spectacularly get it so wrong like that , I listened to the phone in and was annoyed ,a celtic fan mentioned about the fouling and the concensus was the ref was allowing the game to flow , except no ........ no he fkn wasn't, as soon as we went near one of thier players he blows for a free kick to them .

Probably just a rumour flying about but does the ref yesterday have a Hun tattoo on his arm. Ive heard he's an ex season book holder or his brother is a season book holder now but is the tattoo speculation true. Surely not!

He was on the Westwood Rangers bus and a season ticket holder as a young guy, it is an open secret. The same Westwood bus on which the racist incident towards Kyogo happened.

In a broader note, to understand yesterday all you have to do is watch the 28/02/2010 old firm which was a carbon copy in terms of officiating (I was honestly shocked we didn't get a red card like in that) and that the referee that day, one Dougie McDonald, was later implicated in the infamous Dougie Dougie Gate scandal against our club.

"Craven says in his resignation letter that Dallas twice tried to make him repeat a version of events he knew to be untrue.
That was when the linesman realised he was going to be hung out to dry for McDonald's decision to overturn the penalty he had awarded the Hoops.
Inaccurate stories started to appear on a daily basis in an attempt to cover up the real version of events - and that's why Craven has decided to speak out.
Now the match official - who quit the SFA last week as exclusively revealed in the Daily Record - can tell us the full story."

Dougie was given a protective slap on the wrists while the linesman was bullied and harassed by the Scottish footballing authorities until he felt it was too much and quit. That's what he gets for telling a truth which is a construed as a threat to LRA alumni.

They'll have a grass roots review of youth football, independent inquiries into the national teams failures, an external investigation by lawyers over an email mix up, but don't you dare question the quality of officiating in Scotland, that's just 'sour grapes' and even if it wasn't 'it all evens itself out'.

Well at this stage we are due around 100 years of exclusively Jesuit priests hand selected by the pope officiating our matches.
