It's funny seeing the "new generation " of rap fans and artists , fans of these mumble rappers claiming for example sixnine 8s better than 2pac etc

It's pretty surreal how easy it is to get a label deal these days by posting * on your social media channel.

Sixnine 6ix9ine or what ever he is called can't rap , his mus8c is awful and the only reason he is famous is due to social media BS he creates , a troll , and the youngsters love it.

    Same for yachty and that.

Gimme the late 80s and 90s hiphop anytime.

I actually don't mind them, when I was like 15/16 I mind I hated Lil Wayne and thought he was mumbling pish and its went 10x further down hill since then but i've came to not mind it. Just a different type of music not meant to be tuned right into listening to every word hoping to hear a story or anything like you do with Tupac, Eminem, Jay-Z or whoever.

Some are better than others Denzel Curry, XXXTentacion have quite nice lyrics in their songs but the music is more weird. Lil Pump, 6ix9ine, Lil Yachty have kind of nonsense songs but some of them are ok to me. Then theres others like Playboi Carti, Rich The Kid who make more pure trap style songs that aren't too bad and probably have better lyrics than Migos. NBA Youngboy I think is quite good as well, can tell he copies more from Lil Wayne and Young Thug his lyrics aren't too bad and he has quite a nice voice singing wise as well his songs are a bit R&B style.

Lil Yachty is bad but some of his songs are quite catchy. I like this one where he goes back and forth with Takeoff even though the songs lyrics are terrible

    These arent too bad either

A lot of it is just nice melodic songs you can play in the background, I can see why it's popular.

I can understand that last bit. I’ll sometimes put a playlist on Spotify if I’m playing Fifa or sorting the house. End up listening to all sorts and most of it is alright, then I look at the artist and get a shock when it’s someone I assumed I didn’t like.
