Jota was superb first half, second half everyone seemed to slow down.

Thought Giakoumakis worked hard enough, won a few free kicks and got his goal. Hopefully will improve further.

Forrest was really poor throughout I thought. Really needs to up his game in because he can't be starting when he offers as little as he did last night.

Personally felt Starfelt and Taylor did well enough last night, and some of the criticism has been over board. That's how it goes through!

On reflection of last nights game, it went a very similar way to how a lot of our games have this season.

The first 65 or so minutes we were dominant, in total control. The team were moving the ball quickly and the opposition couldn’t get near us or settle on the ball so we won it back quickly. The next 15- 20 minutes was a train wreck from their goal onwards. Our legs in midfield totally went, they were allowed to press up into our half with no fear of us breaking on them once Jota went off. We were far too slow to play Abada in when he made good runs often resulting in offsides. Essentially we lost our way in the game for that period and but for a penalty miss we drop points.

On the ref and linesman, I felt both teams were fortunate to finish with 11 men, Devlin for Hearts should have been off, the wild challenge he made on a booking is a second yellow all day. Bittons hand ball near the half way line on our left was lucky to go unpunished as could have easily been seen as deliberate. Halkett could have been sent off when he racked his studs down the back of Giakoumakis’s calf.

mom the offside goals there one should have been called all be it it was close in the end but Boyle looks well off so missing that is poor. Giakoumakis one is ridiculously tight.

On the penalty it should have been a foul on Bitton, Haring has both hands on Bitton and is pulling him back before the ball hits his arm.

In short summary we need to stop making things hard for ourselves, take our chances and kill teams off, which would cut out these last quarter of game nervy moments or at least cut them down.

We need to kill teams off. We should have been out of site by half time.

This hypothetical league table is interesting as well...

Good assessment and why we have loaded the team with attacking players for changing it with 30 mins to go but they are all away or injured now .

This is what you would expect from a better team that is very thin and ravaged by injuries.

If we can get through the next two games and everyone come back you've got to think we'll be fine for the run-in.

We need to remember in that team last night there was a few coming back from injuries and a few new players and its going to take a while for these guys to get back up to the fitness of those that have not missed games. We did tire in the 2nd half and of course every team gets a bounce from a goal. One thing i do think we have improved on massively is our defending. Not so long ago we would have lost 3-2.
If we can survive the next few games till out injuries clear up and some players come back from international duty we could be flying. Don't drop any points and have at least a draw against the manky mob and we will be in a good place.

Yeah true, also think the fact that we sometimes go a couple up early on and take the foot off the gas.

I just hope that you're right. Reading all this 60 minute team * isn't helping :84:

Lack of game management nearly bit us on the a**e again, as did our, fast becoming a habit, of slackening off in the 2nd half. Ange has undoubtedly improved our attacking game, some of our football is a joy to watch, and has brought some real quality to the club but the fact remains that whenever a team shows some fight and gets in our faces we really struggle and become nervous. Our CM's are all good players with the ball at their feet but without it, ie the defensive side of the game, they are poor and seem incapable of stopping the opposition playing or matching up to them physically. Every team needs balance, 11 Jotas will not win this league for us. That said, we played really well for an hour or so, scored 2 brilliant goals and got the 3 points at a tough venue which is, ultimately, all that matters.

Some have said that I disagree. Without being anywhere near his best I though he had a decent showing and on the back of a good game against Hibernian after being out for so long its encouraging to see. Getting Forrest back at anywhere near his best for the rest of this season would be a real boost for the team so I felt last night was a positive step for Forrest.

That non penalty decision was an outright injustice, and I do not even like Livi. Rangers get away with this time after time after time. Something stinks in the state of Ibrox. There is more to this and it needs to be exposed.

Gutless cowards, gather like a pack of wolves smelling blood. Where are we heading as a society ? Its your own people you are willing to give a kicking or worse, in order to impress your mates or your girlfriend by thinking you are 'hard men' against a singe , outnumbered innocent individual ? Stupidity, alcohol and drugs is a lethal combination. Andy Warhol said that everyone is seeking at least 5 minutes of fame in their life. Prime example here.

I've always though just switch the ruling so any part of your body that can be scored with is ONSIDE when level then it's not offside, rather than the other way around.

Basically, being level favours the attacker, making for a higher scoring game.

In some countries when there is a big derby game and the clubs are not trusting in the integrity of refereeing in that country for such a big game, an experienced FIFA ref from another country is brought in to take charge of the match.

Has that ever happened in Scotland ?
