He was playing a blinder and got injured stretching for the ball in an effort to stop their attack.

'Struggling' to cope with the game/pace of the game/opponents is completely different from getting injured.
noi, the way you're putting it, or the way i'm reading it... "he struggles to play in the celtic team".

Well you are reading it wrong mate. He over stretched to make a great challenge, tried to play on but couldn't as he was struggling with the injury. Get this straight, I think he is a great player & a stand out in games but glad we are not left with just him as an option.

Aye, and it would be a major * mistake for Lenny to play big Ajer at right back again, running up and down that wing.

The last time Ajer was played at RB, he took ages to settle back into his usual position,
not to mention the mistakes he made getting back up to speed when he switched back over.

Yes, agree about Ajer. he & CJ should play every game if fit.
Hope we just take the time needed to get Elham back firing on all cylinders, been awesome for Celtic. I cannot remember one time he got skinned.

 

Wish him a speedy recovery. We play so many games on bad surfaces in Scotland and in Europe. 60 plus games a season at Celtic. More than the vast majority of European clubs.

His last ditch tackle at Ibrox was outstanding. He has a big part to play in this season.

We've got a solid back line this season. Who'd have thought of this European campaign would be possible after losing Tierney. El Ahmed is doing the business.

 

For all that Julien is our best defender overall, in a 1v1 situation with a quality attacker running at one of our defenders in a dangerous position, Elhamed is the defender I would choose.

 

There's no nerd for Ajer to play at RB, Bauer looks very good and wee Frimpong can be selected too as he's looked a starlet.

 

Yes, we have adequate cover for this position, Jerry Pong and Bauer will do fine sharing the position.
