To upgrade Roberts you would have to look at Gray and Traore' level of players and it's doubtful we could afford them either so looks like we could be taking another punt on loan again who i doubt is even near level of Roberts.

Harry Wilson in my opinion is capable of being a Roberts replacement. If not in skills etc definitely in end product.

How’s it pointless? Unless we have an agreed fee before he joins us I would say him coming here is. If players are coming here to use us as a stepping stone wouldn’t you want the club to benefit off it ?

Like him ! tbh we will have to trust Brendan's judgement if he is interested in him ,As he knows better than most the young player market.

You say that mate but alot of people question Sinclair when his end product is the best in the team argueably over the last two seasons

Is there anything in this? Genuinely?

Seems to be highly rated. The kinda player we'd be after to fill the Paddy void..

We do benefit, while they play for us and score goals, create goals or stop the opposition scoring goals.

    Traore has zero end product.

    Wilson does.

In all fairness i dont blame them for rejecting it, Roberts barely played last year even when fit and ovbs the Musonda thing was a whole * up

Roberts was injured for 4 month's of the season and couldn't get a look in when shooders was killing it after..

Musonda was a straw weight and even his ex Anderlecht coach isn't surprised he hasn't made it anywhere yet because of his ego..

We've been very very good with our loan's in recent year's, Roberts included..

This will no doubt be spun as them refusing to do business with us because of slippy, even though we've tried to get him and failed well before he was even contemplating going there..

Is a smack in the face to Brendan though. He should've had a feeling if they'd accept or reject through a third party before being told no again..

Aye dont get me wrong, couldnt drop Forrest he was class and the first year Roberts was with us he progressed very well hence why we where given him again. I also agree with Musonda however its down to Rodgers and our recruitment team to the homework with Musonda, we would of or should of known he was made of straw and in reality that loan failure lands square at our feet.

Either way im not too fussed if we get him or we dont

yeah agree with this!!.........surely they can only spin that line so far, if at all, as he's not going to them either......mind you it's the scottish media and these deluded orc fools will believe anything that they can view as a small victory over us, even when everybody else and their brother know * fine it's comic material!!

Liverpool are considering a dozen requests from Championship clubs to take Harry Wilson on loan – but Jurgen Klopp is in no rush to make a decision on the talented young winger.

The 21-year-old Welshman enhanced his reputation with a successful spell at Hull City last season and returned to Melwood this week on a mission to force his way into Klopp's plans for the 2018/19 campaign.

Wilson will feature in the Reds' domestic friendlies – starting at Chester FC on Saturday – as the manager considers whether to keep him as part of the squad or sanction another loan.

What has been ruled out is the possibility of Wilson going to Celtic, who were desperate to secure his services.

Their loan offer has been snubbed on the basis that Liverpool were concerned about the Scottish champions' use of loan signings from Premier League clubs last season.

Former Reds boss Brendan Rodgers snapped up Patrick Roberts from Manchester City and Charly Musonda from Chelsea but both found their opportunities limited in 2017/18. Musonda was recalled just six months into his 18-month loan due to a lack of playing time.

If Wilson is loaned out it will be to an English club who can provide guarantees that he will be handed a regular starting spot. There would be financial penalties if he wasn't given sufficient game time.

Wilson scored seven goals in 13 league appearances for Hull in the second half of last season to lift them away from the drop zone.

The Tigers are one of a dozen Championship clubs who have so far enquired about taking him on loan – the others are Aston Villa, Leeds, Derby, Stoke, Middlesbrough, Norwich, Preston, QPR, Reading, Swansea and West Brom.

Liverpool's loan pathways and football partnerships manager Julian Ward will speak to the interested parties over the coming weeks and establish where he would fit into their plans and discuss finances before presenting the options to Klopp and sporting director Michael Edwards.

What happens next will be influenced by the impact Wilson makes in pre-season. After Saturday's game at Chester, there are further friendlies against Tranmere, Bury and Blackburn before the Reds fly off on their tour of America on July 20.

Klopp is a big admirer of Wilson and sees a massive future for the Academy Player of the Year at Anfield. The Reds boss was highly impressed by what he achieved at Hull last season.

Ultimately, the decision will come down to what Klopp believes is best for his development - using him as back-up to wingers Mohamed Salah and Sadio Mane or giving him more regular action elsewhere.

Roberts was injured and musonda wasn't good enough ,how's that our fault . Just because they come from big EPL clubs doesn't give them the right to walk into our team. * them !!!!
